Good point about PEDS... at that time you got away with it...

GGG roided... that's something to take into consideration, might actually be a threat to a roided Jones

Jones Jr by destruction. Too fast, too quick, too powerful, and Golovkin is too hittable.

Jones had no chin issues in his prime. The punch resistance issues came from moving up to heavyweight and adding 18 pounds of muscle, and then cutting back down to 175. Not sure why people act like he didn't have a sturdy chin in his prime. Not one of us in here could add 20 pounds of muscle with minimal body fat, and then cut that 20 pounds back off and still be able to take a good shot to the head.

Jones fought nobody to test his chin at Middleweight.

And his chin didn't magically get bad, once he started to get touched when his reflexes dimmed, he got put to sleep. He clearly always had a bad chin but nobody could exploit it because he was Superman in terms of speed and athleticism.

Disagree. He got hit in fights and took it well. If he had the post heavyweight chin at middle, he'd have been KO'd by Hopkins, if he even made it to the ring without being wobbled by the breeze from the ventilation system.

    Agree to disagree.

He never really got hit flush in his prime. I'm a big RJJ fan, I've seen most of his fights and he either knocked out his opponents early or he was simply to quick for them. Once his speed and power wasn't as effective, he started getting knocked out.

The fact that he started getting knocked out shows he never had world class whiskers. You can't say that about certain fighters who moved up in weight and could still take a shot (like James Toney for example).

Not sure you understand what bad weight cuts do to the human body. Also not sure you watched fights all that closely if you never saw him get hit flush. Citing Toney has no bearing, as Toney didn't move back down to 175 after he moved up to heavyweight. Furthermore, Jones took a couple flush power shots from Ruiz. I can guarantee, those same shots KO Jones after he cut 18 pounds of muscle to make 175 again.

Fine, he lost to Tarver and Johnson because he went back to 175. How do you explain him getting KO'd at 200 pounds multiple times?

Sorry bud, RJJ never had a good chin.

His fight videos suggest otherwise. He was KO'd after destroying his body with the bad weight cut post heavyweight. His power, punch resistance and seemingly actual muscle was damaged when he did that. It's why he could stay upright while getting hit flush with a power shot by Ruiz, a guy who outweighed him by 20 plus pounds on fight night, at heavyweight, but gets put to sleep by Johnson at 175, a guy who wasn't a puncher.

he didn't really need one in his prime...he was the original "Superfly" no way of catching him clean.
In all seriousness, "if" ( big one) GGG managed to connect enough times to the body then things would get interesting...
As for canelo being better than GGG ...only at cheating & taking drugs Sonny!

Lesser people, but at what point in his career and how often?

GG doesn't have a big reach and is there to be hit.

In his prime, Roy would have landed at will due to his incredible speed.

The guy to beat Roy in his prime, would have been someone like Nunn who'd have presented him with a huge stylistic challenge, due to his size, speed and skills.
