Anyone suss the leg isn't 100% from his public workout yesterday ??? His movement was stiff and he looked uncomfortable. I think hes going to have fight a 12 round fight, he's not got the explosiveness imo with that back leg still. Good cardio and he should ud Bellew. I'm concerned though tbh as a Haye fan
I like both Haye and Bellew.... I know everyone is going with Haye on this one, and by all means, I understand why thats the consensus, but personally, I think Bellew can pull this off. Ill probably look like a fool afterwards but Ill go ahead and say Bellew SD.
Just a little mix of everything. Just the way they match up due to Hayes current condition. Dont get me wrong, I understand that David should win this, especially when you consider he genuinely is fighting for his career in this, and that level of desperation cant be overlooked.... and he has many of the physical advantages, speed, power, reflexes, he has the experience edge, ect, ect.... but theres just some little things I see when they fight that make me feel that Bellew should have success in there in the rematch. However, I have to note, that Haye is the commodity over there and the establishment would like nothing more than a AJ vs Haye fight, so I expect the judges to have their scorecards filled out already, but overall, in reality, I think Bellew just might give Haye a run for his money and give as good as he gets and I think a bit more. We will see though I guess.
Eh. I don't like Haye, but even with his clearly very severe injury, he was doing well against Bellew (at least that's my recollection, it's been a while since I've seen it). Could be an injury will surface again. Which is likely. Especially if he looked bad today. But Haye should have the abilities to pull this off. Although he is almost 38... that's pretty up there.
Current condition Haye is what makes it interesting. Prime v prime its not a great match up for Bellew, and if his leg holds out he can still show the difference in their levels
Not aiming this at Kirk, but there is some on here that think the injury happened in the 6th, quite weird. Understandable I suppose if they never seen Haye fight before, but if they have they are bit daft
Question is whether or not Haye is uninjured, if he is he will get a knockout.......................just have to wait..................it's a shame USTV is boycotting the fight................
His movement since his return hasn't been the same to be honest, he's far more flat footed than he was during his prime and we saw Bellew take advantage of that at times in the first fight. But as long as Haye stays injury free and doesn't do anything stupid he should win this rematch, he looked to be taking control in the first fight before the injury. Might not be the stoppage he wants though, Bellew is tough and his movement will continue to give a natural counter puncher like Haye problems.
Prime for prime its a mismatch simply due to Hayes talent level. His speed and power would have been too much. Imo.
This fight is really all about Haye being fit enough physically to win or not. Going by the evidence I dont believe he will physically last long enough if Bellew manages to evade his punches again. To be honest I dotn think Haye respects Tony as a fighter still. He knows he only lost due to injury and probably felt close to nailing Bellew to get him out. I think he will go in again thinking he only has to land a few hard shots to end it. Haye knows he is done so is probably banking on an early finish, this long fight talk I think is playing mind games. I cant see how he will last an entire fight with Bellew pushing him around an probably trying to cause injury to his shoulder etc. Haye has the ability to get it done early, I think he will try that as its his only chance. the longer it goes, the more chance of injury. So i'm kind of split. I think even a hampered Haye has a shot of taking Bellew out early but I also think Bellew has the toughness and skill to evade him. I have to go with Haye getting injured going by the evidence. I also think he didnt look great in the public workout, was almost willing him to get through it! I hope Haye proves a lot of us wrong and goes in there and blasts Tony out. This is really what should happen, Bellew is milking this situation, fair play to him but the world needs to be put to rights.
