Yes Whyte/Chisora was an eliminator, Whyte/Helenius was for the WBC silver title too.

Whyte also was the WBC intercontinental champion. He's basically done everything you could expect to earn a shot, wins intercon belt, wins an eliminator, wins the silver belt but when they decide on a final eliminator they picked Breazeale to face Stiverne and when Stiverne went onto fight Wilder instead of trying to make Breazeale/Whyte they completely overlooked Whyte and made Breazeale/Molina.

I suspect they'll fight Pulev next, all the talk so far has been about Whyte/Pulev as that's the eliminator that will actually give Whyte a shot at a belt. Even if he beats Ortiz he only becomes the 2nd mandatory and god knows when the WBC will decide to enforce that, if they ever do.

    Boxing politics.

Dillian Whyte should ask his promoter if he can get him a shot at Anthony Joshua instead.

He is fighting Pulev next. It's almost a done deal.

That is exactly what should happen, but you know with all those belts it's hard to happen.

He has an amazing reputation of never stepping up in class, I think he wasted his talent. 9 years since his debut, he is still fighting low level fighters. He is 31 now. There were rumours about different good fights through the years, but never happened.

Yeah, Whyte doesn’t need a mandatory or eliminators. He only needs his boss Hearn to make a fight with Hearn’s other heavyweight, AJ.

This whole thing is a smoke screen to make Dilly Dilly focus on “mean ol’ WBC keeping me down” rather than his own promoter, Hearn, being unwilling to make a fight with the champion Hearn controls.

Are you implying that he isn't hard done by?

    #1 WBC ranking
    Fought 2 eliminators
    Owns the WBC silver belt.

And you are saying it's because Hearn doesn't want him to fight AJ? Even though they are going to purse bids for the IBF mandatory?

    Guess so!

Breazeale originally signed to fight Stiverne for an elimination fight to fight Wilder.

Stiverne became Wilders opponent after Ortiz was suspended.

The replacement for Stiverne was Molina.

The bout between Breazeale and Molina was still for a title shot at Wilder at least for Breazeale bc he was legally contracted to it.

This. Ortiz is 39 and coming off a brutal stoppage loss. Whyte should be begging for the Ortiz fight if he were as good as advertised, since it would easily be his best win and make a Wilder-Whyte fight an easy sale.

WBC is a trash belt even more than all the other trash belts. Best thing Whyte could do is lose a fight badly, then he will be Wilder’s mandatory. That is how Breazeale got his shot.

    That's how it looks.
To be fair to Hearn, he's helped make Dillian a bit of money lately. But he's been playing him like a fiddle (second fiddle to AJ) for the last two years.

If Hearn wants Whyte to fight AJ again, he’d have made the fight.

I don’t think Whyte is “hard done by.” What’s the WBC silver belt? Does everyone who ever held it get an automatic next-in-line title shot?

Breazeale won a final eliminator. Whyte beat a Eurostiff by decision who had been been stopped by Duhaupas and an Aussie bar bouncer who looked about 70 pounds overweight.
