GGG going 12 with Jacobs and 12 with Canelo has hurt is draw to a small extent
Before, it was "ouuu look the 23 in a row KO streak wow wow"
People wanted to see if GGG could stop the next guy in the ring
Now the streak is well broken with 2 close decisions (gift draw)
Now hes fighting Vanes a 154 pounder whose been inactive for 2 years
If GGG doesnt get him out of there, and odds are he might not as Vanes has NEVER been stopped, never been visibly hurt, GGG will get even more criticism. People were going to golovkin fights to see KOs, to see the "new Mike Tyson." Now that he is revealed as human, I do believe the shine has worn off to an extent.

"He couldnt even KO a blown up junior welter coming off a 2 year layoff"

If GGG goes 12 vs Vanes, that leaves Canelo and BJS as his only payday fights
GGG vs Charlo/Jacobs/Derevenchenko would probably not even sell more than 10k tickets for a properly promoted fight

I live in LA area and have been to GGGs fights vs Rubio, Wade, and Monroe. We had a big group go to all the fights. For Vanes, no one I know is going, absolutely no one. I guess the Canelo fight let down just has people completely uninterested. GGG is 30-1 favorite for good reason.

Surpisingly, Vanes should give GGG the best fight out of Rubio/Wade/Monroe.

    Has Vanes ever been stopped?

If GGG stops him, it will be impressive.

I'm not expecting an early blow out actually. Expectations are too high on GGG. I think it will go to the late rounds or even a decision for GGG. Vanes will have some success early.

Vanes wasn't knocked down in all of his losses, last time he kissed the canvas was seven years ago vs Saul Roman.
I would say if GGG knocks him out early this is even more impressive. If he wins a wide UD it's not a sign for a declining GGG.

If Vanes were active he'd be GGG's best win behind Jacobs, but after two years of inactivity Vanes is being led to the slaughter.

Yep, three. And of course, the usual idiots were hugely upset that 3g wasn't facing Ward in his potential first fight at 168.

vanes is as tough as they come but golovkin is just a better fighter with more power then vanes best opponents and even if he was robbed in some of those fights they were close because he doesn't go threw the gears his one paced but decent golovkin stops him late

I love GGG and respect Ward but don’t revise history with that statement.. GGG and Abel were clearly saying they will beat everyone from 154 to 168 and was willing to fight Froch and Chavez at 168 but told Ward to come down to 164.. I don’t blame them but Ward definitely called their bluff on that one..

Vanes has never been stopped before. If Golovkin at his advanced age knocks him out, it will BE IMPRESSIVE.
