Bellew doesn't walk away from touching gloves with Wilder. I swear..... 2 clearly money grabs vs a crippled Haye and these delusion threads are popping back up. Seriously...if Bellew fd around and fought DelBoy he'd be wishing he'd stayed at CW and kept taking low hanging fruit.
Not in his mind; not when he made the fights. He conceded Haye was the much better fighter in his prime but not when they actually fought which kinda proves he picked the fight(s) at the right time for him. He even says himself boxing is 'all about timing'. But he can't get away with the 'fat kid from Liverpool act' any more, he has achieved enough to be judged like any other boxer and part of that judgment needs to be, he likes the cherry pick his opponents. Even today, he is saying he will fight Fury but only if it's soon, ie: when he's ring rusty...
Won't happen. Bellew isn't signed with Haymon, the fight makes more in the UK, so Wilder won't have home town advantage and so there next to no chance Wilder will make a voluntary vs Bellew.
Maybe. Depends if he thinks Wilder is worth the risk or not. He's at the stage where he's financially set for life, and needs to start thinking about his long term future. Bellew will definitely see the flaws in Wilder's game, and will fancy doing one over on him if they ever step in the ring, but a Wilder fight is always one punch away from a devastating, potentially life-threatening, knockout. Even Bellew might balk a little at that possibility.
Per his own words, he wouldn't dare get in the ring with Wilder...take that for what it's worth. Wilder KO 5 rounds or less
