Thought that just proved no matter how good you are, even the best in the world etc, time waits for no man, age will catch up with you, even Mayweather against Mcgregor was 1/3 of the fighter he once was
Yes but they never had career ending injuries then came back lying that they are fitter than ever with no injuries. Haye clearly went into both Bellew fights with leg injuries, not to mention the shoulder injury that made the top medics tell him not to fight again. Csnt throw a straight overhand right, can't out weight in back leg. Guy should be on DLA to be honest with him limp lol.
My favourite fighter of recon times, as if that wasn’t obvious...was sad he refused to acknowledge he was done at the end...and likewise tony stopped short of saying he beat a fighter who was a shadow of his former self... Get it from Tony, he wants another payday...does David Haye? It’s embarrassing for him to lose like that and then not admit it’s over to be honest...
Knowing Haye he would sell it for an inflated fee, and the person would find out later it expired years ago and they were bumped lol.
Truly truly gutted. Sat here hours after the fight on youtube watching tapes of prime Hayemaker demolish the likes of Mormeck, Enzo & Chisora. Gona take me a while to get over this one.
Haye has been one of my favourite fighters in my time watching boxing but i am pretty disappointed that he has gone into another ppv fight blatantly unfit to fight.
Words won't express how gutted I am right now. Seeing a man that got me into boxing get embarrassed by a man who frankly isn't really that good. Don't know if I'm more annoyed at watching that, or believing the bull**** that he was actually back. I've studied body language and everything Haye said subconsciously he actually believed. Also have to say, no question, something other than the achillies was wrong, he couldn't even stand up properly. He was walking with a limp yesterday into the weigh in, and that isn't excusing the loss, I just think he's broken. A very sad sight and sad evening for me.
It is sad you young people wont understand but age gets us all It looks like he is still in the fight game so he has a new phase in boxing
Apart from stopping Chisora 6 years ago wtf has this charlatan done to get anywhere near a PPV?..Beat Enzo Macc 10 years ago?yeah that was decent....hoodwinked a nation with abs and corn rows.never a fan and made Bellew look like Mayweather which is some feat tbh... Boxed an average of 9 rounds a year since turning pro!... No wonder he shat out of Fury fight, can you imagine the humiliation of that?
Which is worrying as his body is literally breaking down irreparably with the types of injuries that will impact on his day to day life. Not talking broken noses or cauliflower ears here, but achilles tendons' that have been ruptured twice are things that can give you a permanent. debilitating limp and problems walking. I have some experience treating the injury he has in my profession (actually much less severe versions of it) and I can tell you now, he is screwed, that will never ever be right even if he stopped boxing now and took 3 years off from doing anything other than walking.
I don't agree, I think the whole event was handled very well, unlike normal there was a fantastic undercard which gave huge value, sky aren't stupid. David has made Tony and his fans very happy, probably best night of their lives. I love David personality, a real hero and an intelligent guy. I think it is the best way for a fighter to be defeated at the end, otherwise if they go out in glory it messes with their head.
Nah, Tyson and RJJ are examples of fighters you refer to as 'in their prime', David Haye's name wont be tarnished that hard.
