It looked like the knee to me. Just before the second knockdown he step in awkwardly and popped his knee. Then his leg just collapsed underneath him, he didn't actually take a punch for the second knockdown.

He took hard punches in all three of his knockdowns.

Haye claimed he was 100% so who are we to go against his word?

Fact was, Bellew caused Haye to injure himself by dumping him on his ass multiple times.

Had Bellew entered the ring in December with the death of his brother in law still ringing in his head would he have been given any leeway if he lost to Haye? Would he bedsocks. Haye chose to step between the ropes so anything he happens to be carrying in with him becomes irrelevant. Same as any other fighter.

Watch the second one again. He went down because his leg collapses. It wasn't from a punch. Not taking anything away from Bellew.

His leg collapses because he got hit twice on the top of the head. You can see it in the replay of that round.

Valuev was crippled when Haye beat him. Guess we can rule that one out as well?

Moving the goal posts, every fight injury is different do you not think. Hayes injury in the first fight, the one he walked in with, the one he had injections in in Germany on fight week with, that's one of the worst injuries I have seen in a ring to try and carry on with. Should've quit. I'm sure going in to the 11th round he had made it worse long term

I reality everyone knew Haye would come in injured so its not really a surprise. Bellew depended on it really, as Hayes explosive power would have been too much 6 years ago. People probably hoped for the best but that 2nd knockdown told the story. Haye was an old man that couldn't get up. Its cynical by all those involved, Bellew and Hearn knew they had a massive advantage, Haye knew he would get a pay day against a puncher that wouldn't render him unconscious for 5 minutes.

All in all I didn't mind this saga though. Haye was able to show he had some balls to end his career on and it they were entertaining scraps. of course it was a manipulation of the fans but at the end of the day they both gave it their best, they weren't acting some script in the ring.
