Greb vs LaMotta: Harry jumps out to an early lead with his blitzkrieg attack in the first three rds. Jake loses the rds but begins a withering body attack starting in the second. Come the 4th rd and a warmed up LaMotta is trying to cover Harry like a blanket. They trade rds as they slug it out no holds barred for the next 10 rds, with Jakes bodypunching seeming to slow Grebs attack. Despite the pain in his sides, Greb, with better stamina pours it on in the last 2 rds to take the decision in an exciting first bout.

MUSTAFAHAMSHO vs. Tony Zale: zale and Hamsho meet at ring center and sparks fly instantly. Zale lands the harder punches but Mustafa is stronger and pushing Zale backwards. In the fourth rd, Zale scores a sudden knockdown with a left to the body followed by a left to the head. Hamsho, who hit the deck hard, beats the count and is back trading with Tony by the end of the round. Mustafa, who concentrates on the body also, out hustles Zale over the next 9 rounds. The stronger Hamsho s grappling style is wearing Tony out while after the fourth, Tonys punches have no effect on Mustafa. The final rds are Hamshos as he wins the decision.

MICKEY WALKER vs. MARVIN HAGLER; Hagler, the consummate boxerpuncher takes the lead in the first 5 rds with his switchhitting in and out style. However, Walkers thudding left hooks to the body are doing damage to Marvin. In the sixth, Mickey feints a left to the side but instead lands a double left hook to Haglers head. Marvin drops to the canvas and takes the 8 count. The bell rings before Mickey can hit him again. In the ensuing rds, Marvin has his moments, but the sheer toughness and punchpower of the Toy Bulldog begin to overwhelm him. Walkers body blows are destroying Marvin and aftet 1 final left hook to the liver followed by a left right to the head, Hagler slowly slides down the ropes to be counted out in rd 12.

ACE HUDKINS vs. VITO ANTUOFERMO; Ace begins the bout boxing, but Vitos refusal to back up makes Ace turn to his natural nature and the slugfest begins. Punches rain in from all angles with Hudkins more feral and harder punching and Antuofermo busier. Each repeatedly pushes the other to the ropes and unloads. An incredible amount of inside fighting punishment leaves both looking like, well, guys that have been in a fight. Hudkins power cuts up Vito but he makes a fight till the final bell. In a split decision, Ace Hudkins wins the fight.

DICK TIGER vs. BENNIE BRISCOE; Bennie and Tiger have a feeling out first rd. In the second, Dick presses forward with his attack, to be met bry brutal body punches by Bennie. They exchange evenly in the third and in the forth, Tiger jumps in after landing a right hand and Baaaaad Bennie perfectly times a right cross and knocks Tiger down. Tiger gets up, but is put back down by a right left combo. In the fifth and sixth Tiger is visibly hurt and when Briscoe goes for the KO in the seventh, Tiger is put under for good. Briscoe wins by KO

FRED APOSTOLI VS. RODRIGO VALDEZ; in a highly skilled punchout, APOSTOLI puts Rodrigo down twice in the first 7 rds. Valdes has his moments but Drop Dead Fred is tenacious in his pursuit. The fight is oneway traffic until 2 minutrs into the 11th rd, when Rodrigo almost takes the top of Freds head off with a double right hand, left jab, right hand left hook right hand combo. Fred drops like he is dead and moves nary a muscle as he is counted out. Valdez praises 6 oz. gloves and small ring after the fight.

MICKEY WALKER vs BAAAAAD BENNIE BRISCOE: Mickey and Bennie exchange power punches from the off, with Mickey having to advantage with his better movement and versatility. He punches the guts out Bennie in the first 10 rds and though Bennie gives back much punishment in kind, Walker stops Bennie after dropping him 7 times in the 11th & 12th. Walker by KO

TONY ZALE VS VITO ANTUOFERMO; Zale goes for broke immediately. He hits Vito body and head with everything but the kitchen sink. Tony, a great puncher, is landing fullforce on an Antuofermo whose punches cannot hold Tony off. Tony practically tears Vitos face off and crushes his body on the way to a 6th rd knockout.

HARRY GREB VS MARVIN HAGLER; Greb virtually flies at Marvin in his zest for battle. Marvin tries to implement his own style, but feels like someone dr opp pped a box of boxing gloves on his head. Greb thumbs and laces Hagler repeatedly and Hagler's face looks like tenderized beef when the fight is stopped in the 13th rd.

Maybe one of you guys could tell what would happen? Try it. It's fun. Pick whatever matchup you like or do all of the fights and rematches. Something different than usual posts and no one can say you're wrong. Everyones opinion and fantasy welcome.

I went with 8 toe-to-toers in a 16 ft ring 6 ounce gloves for the violence given AND TAKEN. As documented, Monzon and Duran were the best I ever saw that fought in MY lifetime. I always liked the dreamfights and fights we'd like to see in BIG BOOK OF BOXING. So, I did it. It's fun. Give it a shot.

    Hagler v Zale :
Both men came roaring out in the first with Hagler a bit quicker and more economical with his punches. But Zale stayed with him at every step.At the end of round 2 surprising everyone it was Hagler rocked, just before the bell .But Marvin came out for the third on fire, blasting Zale with right hooks .In the fourth Marvin was cut under the left eye by a accidental elbow which spurred on Tony .In the Fifth round Hagler drops Zale with a cracking uppercut but he rises at 8 just as the bell goes .Tony recover s well and both men go toe to toe with Zale coming off worst
The next round Hagler drives him back to the ropes landing clean, heavy punches ,Zale drop's heavy ,attempts to rise but is counted out .
    Hagler Wko 7 Zale .
