I’m not having it until I see it in black and white.

If Eubanks goes in it’s purely on a sales basis. You can’t have a loser re enter a tournament in the final. Braemer would be the obvious choice or one of the stand bys we’ve had on previous cards.

Surely Paul Smith is the obvious choice. Elite fighter as well as being Smith's brother adds another dimension. Lol.

How can Eubank enter a tournament, get beaten and knocked out of it then possibly go on and win it..,.

What an absolute joke that would be, and if it is to be on a PPV platform and people buy it they are completely fcuked in the head.

Style wise I can't think of a worse fighter for Eubank to fight and a better one for Smith to fight. Absolute mismatch.

Good fight regardless. At this stage whoever gets the call up...the tournaments not really worth much anyway if the guy in the final that's got the single biggest wins out of it. Still tho...that's a good fight eubank v smith. Eubank to his credit knocked the Turkish boy out...and stayed in their against groves albeit a losing effort. Hes probably got more right to it than most tbf. Braemer, degale etc...not really done more to warrant it bearing in mind degale didn't,t even enter it. Could have been anyone...but eubank had as good a shout as anyone for it.

Glad groves isn,t taking it...dodgy fight to come back to after what looked like a pretty bad shoulder injury.

I can't see Groves returning fully fit from that shoulder tbh. Once they're gone, they're gone in big hitters like him.

I'm hearing absolutely nothing of it, what I'm hearing is some media talking rubbish. We heard Kalle in a few interviews after those semis and the injury that he wanted Groves to be in the final and he'd do everything in his power to make it happen. I can't imagine some rich blokes in the boardroom would go against that, they know nothing about the sport probably...

But if they are forced to remove Groves, then Eubank Jr must be that replacement. But at the same time, he is awful. Not Lucas Browne level of awful, but still awful. If Groves beats him comfortably with ease, then I'd imagine Smith does as well. It's weird, cause Eubank is no doubt the correct and only reasonable replacement, but we don't really want him to be because he's garbage and doesn't have a jab.

However, if Smith lets Eubank Jr get up close, he's in a world of bother. I know everyone hates on him, but he's a beast up close, you can't deny that. The issue is that he doesn't know how to get up close to people to do that damage... I think it's a great fight because we get to see how good a boxer Smith really is in comparison to a master of the trade like Groves.

Is this injury to do with his shoulder that he buggered in the Eubank Jr fight? Must be pretty bad if they aren’t bothering to reschedule?

If true, Occam's Razor would suggest yes and yes. Possible career changer.
