Fury maybe the "real" or "lineal" champion but lets be honest he was never a big draw. His biggest payday for just £2.4 mill when he fought Wlad. Prior to that he made $1.5 mill vs Cunningham which was his highest payday then and he was set to make £5 mill against Haye but of course that never happened.

Fury for all the noise and commotion he makes with his antics doesn't draw in big crowds, just like everyone else in the division he's the clear B side to Joshua's A side.

If they fight right now 5-10% would be a true reflection of their disparity in drawing power, though AJ and Hearn would need to again overpay to secure the fight, probably at least 20-25%. If AJ didn't provide a big payday, everyone would duck him but luckily for him he's the cash out everyone is looking for and so has to overpay to secure the fights he wants.

But if Fury builds some momentum, wins a couple of easy wins and beats a good contender, maybe someone like Whyte then he can expect to ask for a bigger share. But he won't get anything close to 50%, even 40% would be a stretch.

AJ v Fury will be the biggest British world title fight since Eubank-Benn II. Globally, it might be the biggest ever.

It takes two to tango, so I think Fury is worth a pretty big slice of the pie here. Every casual boxing fan in Britain knows who Fury and AJ are. Fury knows how to sell a fight too. Fury has definitely gotta be worth more than Parker and Wilder. So I think 55-45 in AJ's favour would be pretty fair.

If Fury is so well known and knows how to sell a fight why was never a big ticket seller?

Fury isn't a draw. Never has been and relies solely on an opponent to sell ppv's and tickets

To be fair, he hasn't had a fight since he beat Klitschko in Düsseldorf. I think his stock will have gone up considerably since then, not just because of the win, but because of all the other stuff, the controversy regarding the bible stuff and misogyny, the retirement, putting on the weight, giving up the belts, even the depression all adds to the intrigue.

Every sports fan knows he is now, where as they might not have before Düsseldorf, or if they did know who he was many would have only heard the name but not really known known who he was. I'd say he is definitely a bigger draw now than he was pre-Düsseldorf, just like AJ became a bigger draw after Klitschko.

You do recall what a fat idiot he looked at those return pressers and the sh ite he came out with? Fury had no intention of showing up and we all knew it.

I don't know, how big is Tyson over there? I know
it's an all British fight so I'm sure it'd be bigger
than Joshua/Wilder. My UK guys on here please let me know. Does Tyson warrant
    a 50/50 split?

5%, truck load of doughnuts, another one full of that boar meet and we might have a very lucrative deal here.

No way he deserves 50%, it’s madness to suggest that.

Deserves 50% how? Klitschko in Dortmund was a lifetime ago... or to be more precise nearly 3 years, 7 stone, 2 failed drug tests, a mental breakdown, recreational drug abuse and a PED suspension ago. I bet AJ's dying to split 50% on those grounds. Although I'd say that Fury's enigma, popularity and stock is at its highest right now BEFORE he fights again.

Lol. If so I'll get a ringside seat. I live in the country and they're everywhere. Surprised I haven't seen Tyson rounds my way foraging :)

How does the fight happen with them both on different UK networks. I can't see a joint PPV happening so I think we are going to be waiting a while for this one.
