Im not normally a fan of these types of threads but i had to get people's opinions on this one! We all know Haye is shot and nothing like his old self but lets just say he didn't want to retire and his next fight was against Chisora how do you see it going? The first fight was a classic, still watch it to this day but how would you see it going this time around? Chisora isn't done yet and i am a fan of his but lets not lie, he sometimes turns up and does nothing so im not sure how this one would go?
chisora KO's haye late, any current heavyweight who is reasonably tough and european ish + level beats haye today. Haye clearly can't do any cardio hence why he was gassed after 2/3 rounds vs Bellew and led him to be reckless. Haye's power is gone as he landed shots on bellew in both fights that 5/6 years ago may have put him to sleep, but the explosiveness and power isn't there, especially as he can't throw a normal overhand right. So anyone who can get through the first 2 rounds and has trained reasonably well will take haye out in the 2nd half of the fight.
Chisora would probably beat bellew. Let alone this version of David Haye. Haye would struggle to beat anyone with his current injuries.
Good Post totally agree. Was laughing during Sky commentary when they were saying of Haye power is the last thing you lose. I was thinking maybe in most cases but not when that person has had to have reconstructive shoulder surgery and was told of the worlds best medical experts not to fight again. Then add to the fact that person can't put weight on their back leg lol.
yeah exactly, haye has literally no power anymore and that with his speed is what made him good in his prime which he has also lost.
Chisora takes him to deep waters...which for Haye begins in the 3rd round, and stops him on his feet imo. I can’t help but feel that Bellew’s tremendous win is being a bit devalued now. The only thing to cling onto I guess is the devastating way he smashed him 3 times. It was an excellent stoppage by the ref.
Bellew was terrific regardless. Hste still carried a threat and I think to Hayes credit he carried power still but not go same degree as before. Bellew done what he had to and looked class doing it.
I said the same to my missus. He was completely done in the 3rd. Credit to his heart for sticking it out and still trying to land something big himself. That 4th round imo was a 10-8 round to Bellew. Even though he didn’t knock him down it was completely one sided with a number of landing power shots. Thinking about this fantasy fight a little more. There is still a chance Haye could land something big on Chisora in the first half of the fight. Del Boy does not have fast feet, and is nowhere near as evasive as Bellew. Haye was also made to work hard in them first 3 rounds, but not sure Chisora would push him like that?
