I just read Wlad is going mentor AJ in his future fights and will be in his corner if he fights Wilder in the Autumn, for me this is the final piece of the jigsaw, AJ will learn Wlad`s offensive skills and become as good as him, I felt AJ could always beat Wilder but now Wlad is in his corner I feel AJ could deal with Fury`s reach better than he would of even though Wlad lost to Fury, AJ is younger than Wlad was, what effect do you feel Wlad will have on AJ`s prowess in the ring?

I really, really doubt Joshi would retire unbeaten. There are very few top boxers that actually did that, and only one that managed it at HW as far as I know.
    Extremely unlikely in Joshua's case.

If Josuha fights like Wlad his drawing power will go down. His last fight with Parker was a snoozefest.

Better to fight his natural game which is exciting and lose a couple than a dull stay at distance at all times approach.

I believe Wlad is helping AJ become a bigger control freak than even Wlad was.

Oh ffs. I kind of like Joshua as a banger. Wlad was cool but I preferred it when he slugged, as well. Don't feel like seeing Joshua change his style too much.

Mentoring is one thing, being the trainer another.

A tactically smart (in the main) former HW champion with a very similar physique on your side, giving advice? Got to be good. Unless you're someone who wants the slugging Joshua who almost got KO out by Whyte that is. Joshua is no granite chin that's obvious so again, guidance from someone who built a solid record despite the same drawback has to be a positive.

I would absolutely love Wladimir Klitschko to be in Joshua's corner the night Joshua gets schooled by Tyson Fury.

I'm not saying that will happen but it would be great to see it.

I don't mind if Joshua wants to become a Wlad-clone. It makes perfect sense.
    He's a big robot.
People forget that Wlad was exciting too, at one point, but he kept getting splattered.

The idea that Joshua should stay "exciting" and get KO'd is a bit silly.

Honestly, I doubt he could have defeated Parker any other way than the way he did it.
Joshua's main reputation "excitement" has been based on him smashing C-level opponents in one-sided mismatch, which kind of got "boring" anyway.
Looks nice on a highlight reel, but who wants to pay to see that year after year.

Truth is, heavyweights need granite chins to remain successful AND exciting. And I don't think Joshua has a granite chin.

Couldn't agree with that last statement any more. I keep telling my friends Joshua will lose a fight within the next 4 years, probably to a guy they least expect. Sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my breath as they can't quite seem to grasp that. Dillian Whyte came close enough and I don't exactly see him as a world class operator.

Yeah. Same thing here. I was watching Joshua-Parker with a friend and sometime after the fight they said, " Joshua looks like one of those boxers who is going to go their whole career unbeaten."
All I said was : "I don't know. He looks to me like one of those heavyweights who's going to be knocked out."
Same experience. They didn't argue but I could see from their faces they just couldn't get it.
