Yep, even though prime RJJ would probably win against prime GGG, 35 years old GGG would definitly run through a 35 years old RJJ, because he was more athletic than skilled.
This. One of those two relied heavily on his athleticism, probably so much so that them roids played a key part.
I disagree. RJJ was much more explosive than GGG and I think with a single shot he could punch harder than GGG could at 160. He used to throw in combination alot but when he sat down on his shots he could crack. Also RJJ never had chin issues at 160 he didn't get them until he went to HW and came back down to 175. RJJ took punches from bigger punchers than GGG. How in the hell is a guy who's as slow as GGG going to deal with a guy like RJJ who holds such an extreme advantage in speed and reflexes with lightning quick feet to boot who also has an extreme reach advantage who can punch. Do you honestly think GGG will walk RJJ down and beat him into submission? This isn't a video game and RJJ ability to control range and dictate distance would befuddle GGG who would get beat to the punch all night long and hit nothing but air for very long stretches of the fight. I mean do you forget how good a prime RJJ was? He's atleast 2 levels above a prime GGG. He would absolutely tool GGG he's simply too slow and easy to hit for a boxing god like RJJ.
Unlike GGG who hid at one weight for his entire career too sacred to even move up one weight to fight light punching Ward. RJJ dared to be great moving from 154 160 168 175 and to HW. Log off
Man, what if Roy won a title at 154 and CW before winning a HW title? Would he be considered the P4P GOAT?
Yes it's possible that GGG walks him down and beats him into submission. Remember that Hopkins won 4 rounds off Jones at 160. Just 2 more rounds and he's got a draw. Hopkins was known for getting in close, cutting off escape routes. RJJ is an ATG, but he can be hit and he can lose rounds. And he can be hurt.
ok I see it as a draw.. RJJ bouncing around on the outside pot shotting with wicked speed. GGG cutting ring off and looking to brawl, roughing up RJJ. The subjective nature of scoring boxing
PBF was injured going into the first fight with JLC and it was his first fight at a weight that he was also outweighed on fight night by almost 20 pounds. When they had a rematch a healthy PBF won going away. With that said using PBF-JLC is a bad comparison. RJJ is bigger than GGG unlike PBF-JLC. He wouldn't be outweighed on fight night by almost 20 pounds like PBF was. Pressure won't be a factor because it will be RJJ who ends up fighting his fight and not the other way around. Sure GGG will come out fast until he gets caught a right hand or with a clean counter with his short ass arms trying to over extend on a ATG reflex machine he will then show RJJ his proper respect because he knows this dude can hurt me or turn my lights off if I'm not careful. He will then start to shell up and be way more cautious as he's outboxed to a UD loss or possible stoppage.
Hopkins is also 10000 light years better than GGG but don't let that get in the way of your pathetic argument. Also he didn't win 4 rounds that was a joke, he damn near got shut out. We all know GGG can be hit will be hit and went life and death with Jacobs and Canelo both of which couldn't carry RJJ's spitbucket.
LMFAO! You mean the other way around? GGG wouldn't even fight Ward no way in hell does he come within 2 time zones of RJJ.
