Will Wlad help AJ retire unbeaten?

Always good to have a second knowledgeable eye in the ring with someone of the same physical make up....

However Joshua has what he needs and is already a proven talent defeating Wlad himself in 19 fights ....

Klitchko should just be a sparring partner for him and work on the boxing knowledge in the training sessions and let McCracken handle the corner.

Klitchkos ability to set punches off the man in a more calculating fashion is the main thing , stylistically there still two different fighters that have different abilitys.

All ATG HWs have lost at one point. If he got destroyed by a journeyman that would be different. Losing to Hybrid would not ruin his career.

The worst thing Joshua can do is adopt a pure safety first approach and have a string of snoozefests.

Cant see Wlad wanting to spar him, advice yeah, watching him spar and giving advice maybe, but it would rub up any decent trainer who had him. Phone calls is more like it and the odd visit to his camp

 

Parker initiated the clinches not Joshua, Parker could not fight on the inside with Joshua therefor he tried holding and hitting which is illegal...


I'm not sure how anyone can say he's emulating Klitchko , that's not remotely even realistic even if he was himself clinching in one fight.

Clearly Parker kept ducking below the belt line and putting his head down in between Joshua arm pit and shoulder on his right side while holding Joshuas left side as he rushed in bc he did not want to get hit.

That's why the ref had to constantly break them. Parker would have got eaten up bc he cannot match Joshuas inside game.

 

You can't learn with phone calls , it's no different then martial arts techniques....you can't learn them really unless you get hit by them and shown properly.

Klitchko with hands on training with Joshua is the way to go and it needs to be steady or a frequent thing if Joshua was to adapt something specific from him.

 

Nope if heavyweights consistently fight the best they will lose at some point.. unless you go the Wilder rout and do what you can to fight bums. (exception to the rule Marciano) but even he supposedly lost twice as Rocky Mack
