    Mike Rossman vs. Ramon Ronquillo.

Destroyed by a club fighter. A few fights before he was on top of the world after a masterful performance in beating Victor Galindez ... then had nothing left after the rematch.

That’s true, but there’s no disputing the fact that Fenech was robbed in their first fight. Plus the fact that Fenech was KO’d by Calvin Groves 43(16)-5 in his next fight proves that he was shot.

With all the abuse (broken facial bones, broken hands, cuts, etc) Fenech endured throughout his career, plus the sizable weight gains between fights, coupled with the fact that he was robbed of a title in a 4th weight class, I’ve always believed Fenech’s disenchantment with boxing played a significant role in his sudden decline.

dlh vs Pac, I think people knew for quite some time

    Honeyghan vs Breland definitely

Hagler going in the Leonard fight (but leonard knew. I knew a couple weeks before the fight watching him in sparring)

Agree with you here ... Hatton training camps were in the Pub drinking beer, throwing darts and ballooning up 40 plus pounds ... So hard on the body and that always catches up to fighters one day ... Hatton was no Duran, caught up to him too

Saad Muhammad vs. Eric Winbush. Yeah, he lost to Qawi twice, but that's nothing to be ashamed of. The Winbush loss was shocking though...Saad just had nothing at all left. He never should have fought again but ended up fighting almost 20 fights over the next decade.

DLH killed himself making weight though, so that complicates things. He was well past his prime but he probably wouldn’t have looked nearly as shot if he’d stayed at 154.

Looked to me like he probably dehydrated himself making weight.

I would agree with much of this. The rematch was probably a case of a better Nelson and worse Fenech.

No one knew more than Leonard which is why he finally made the match .. still an amazing performance by Ray based on inactivity ..

Man, that was like 8 kinds of bad. Those Qawi lickings were major league bad.......but Winbush was much much worse. It's hard seeing those old warriors lose their skills and punch resistance.

Who was that guy Saad fought after this and got stopped late---one of the Davis brothers, if memory serves? That was real real bad too---Sadd continuing to fight and throwing punches long after the bout had been stopped.
it's like he knew it going in that his career was circling the toilet bowl. That stoppage--and he took a major league licking--seemed to ruin and destroy his career and he knew it. That competitive heart just did not want to give up.

Tough tough way to go out for such a terrific fighter.
