Conn v Moorer ..would we see a replay of Billy's fight against Louis ,Conn out boxing him until MM nails him ? Any thought s on this match ?
At light heavy Moorer was nowhere near Conn`s level at heavy he was more savvy, but when he was guns blazing knocking out Heavies he wouldn`t stand a chance, when he learned to box a bit more he got less knockouts he couldn`t find the balance like Louis, Moorer`s KO`s were as powerful as Louis`s but it`s the stuff Louis did before that that caught up with Conn he was a master at setting This content is protected combo`s with the jab and Moorer was nowhere near as dangerous as that.
Though I still reckon Moorer is a dangerous guy at light heavy ,I agree with your post. I see the fight as similar to Benn v Watson. The hard punching one throwing caution to the wind ,trying to get him out early. But Conn keeping it cool ,then ko in a tiring Moorer around the tenth. My 2 penceWorth.
