Why do RING magazine still recognize Alvarez as champion ?

This has probably been discussed to death but I haven't been following this saga closely.

    RING states :

Here are the seven situations in which a champion can lose his belt:
    • The Champion loses a fight in the weight class in which he is champion.
    • The Champion moves to another weight class (for more than one fight).
    • The Champion does not schedule a fight in any weight class for 18 months.
    • The Champion does not schedule a fight at his championship weight for 18 months (even if he fights at another weight).
    • The Champion does not schedule a fight with a Top-5 contender from any weight class for two years.
    • The Champion retires.
    • The Champion tests positive for a performance-enhancing substance.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Alvarez TWICE test positive for PEDs recently, while champion ?

I am assuming that the OP has copied the Ring rule and Canelo failed two tests. If so its legit..

Yeah. But you'd think he'd at least get the editors to make some sort of excuse.

So I assume you’re trusting the accuracy of a hair test? If so, how do you reconcile the fact he failed 2 drug tests, then took a hair test, which is supposed to show what’s in your system from the last 6 months, and it was magically gone?

Hair. Tests. For. Clen. Aren’t. Accurate.

Yes it's true, Oscar owns the parent company that
    owns Ring Magazine.

Canelo fails at least 3 criteria regarding him being still
considered the ring MW champion and it should be Golovkin
after he "defeated" Danny Jacobs who I believe was
the number 2 at the time. However by lineage, Canelo
beat the man who beat the man who beat the man etc......

    Canelo>Cotto>Martinez>Pavlik>Taylor>Hopkins

Dude, lab people, same ones who did the analysis, said the test isn’t accurate. I mean, what the actual **** can your cousin tell you that those who who had their hands in this can’t?
