Yep - totally agree with this. Its the modern day thinking. A fighter needs to move up. Do they fudge. GGG has been trying to complete the set and would have had another with win over Canelo but was screwed out of it by poor officating. Time isnt on GGG side and Canelos unprofessionalism may cost him the chance at being undisputed in the time he has left. Lots of who he should have fought and when but times lines don't always run when we would like them

Saunders literally signed to fight GGG in Kazakhstan and GGGs team pulled out coz Golden boy punked them.

No one saying he needed to face Ward, we said we wanted to see it since GGG was willing to fight Chavez and Froch at 168 and he put a challenge to the whole 168 division.

Loool your talking about about a belt is not relevant in the 2017 when it became relevant 03-05 loool come on are you serious.

So why fight him if you can’t beat him? OMG look at what your saying everything you say GGG has done the opposite

GGG pulled out of the Bjs fight to pursue Canelo coz GBP told him if he fight BJS he would lose the Canelo fight. Do your homework.

He chased the cash, yes, but how long did BJS run from GGG?

I’m rolling my eyes. BJS didnt want the fight and then all the sudden he wanted it. Get over yourself. We get it, you hate GGG.

It was GGGs coach Sanchez that said it but I trust you will take that he speaks for GGG.

Saunders ducked GGG years ago you are completely correct. Last year GGG was supposed to fight Saunders in Kazakhstan before he fought Canelo and he pulled out coz Canelos team told him not to. This year BJS said we would be willing to fight GGGs team in June but Golovkin chose to fight Vanes instead.

As mentioned by other posters in this thread, he is a prize fighter. Of course making money is priority number one. If it took you until the Ward deal not getting done to figure that out, well, that's on you. Any impartial observer knows prizefighters fight for money first and then legacy/undisputed, no matter what they say. GGG spoke of becoming undisputed but of course that comes after making the most money. Duh.
Your use of "suckers" and "fan boys" just shows a certain level of immaturity.

I agree with the OP but the thing is that it was only Sanchez running his mouth about the 154-168 thing.

A lot of fighters make claims that are just hype, e.g. Fury talking about beating Bellew with one arm tied behind his back.

Thanks! You should note that they are talking about things NOW. That being said, you can't just take his comments and apply them to prior events. Things change.

Your argument is trash, its OK for Halger to stay in one division but somehow its not OK for GGG because well Ward??

BJS held the WBO and up until beating Monroe hasn't been considered a serious threat to the top of the division. GGG has been chasing Canelo for the belt and for the £££. Nothing wrong with that.

I don’t hate GGG, some people in here do. I have not called him a coward, I have not said he bullies small fighter or anything like that. I’m just saying the whole agenda he put out that he was after legacy was bull****. He had opportunities to go after legacy like beat a p4p fighter in Ward, become undisputed at 160 and every time he got an opportunity he chose the money instead. That’s all good but people like you still wanna pretend he is this throw back fighter.

When Saunders ducked GGG I called him a *****, when Canelo cheated to screw up the rematch I called him him a clown. So I have to consistent when I see GGG is living the reputation that he put out there.
