Not for me. I still think Crawford is the top dog.

But if Loma beats Garcia after Linares I'm sold.

exactly! you thought about it like I asked. unless u r being surreptitiously rude ehehe.

There have not been many novices earning elite scalps in recent history. Mayweather strikes me as one.

been a while since I heard that in high school movies btw.

Crawford is similar to GGG in the sense that they dont have the best resume but the guys he is supposed to beat he does so in style.

Linares has done what exactly, since getting beat up by DeMarco? He's fought Euro and domestic level opposition in a weak division. He hasn't even fought the best guys outside of himself at 135. Lomachenko has clearly fought the better opponents, and that doesn't say much for Linares' resume. It will be a solid win over a titlist. That's about it. We don't know how good Linares is, with his best wins being against chumps.

Loma is easiy # 1 and has been for some time. Linares is the most under rated boxer on the planet and still suffers from the stigma of the 3 losses mid career. That was like 7 years ago. He hasn't been beaten since but rarely appears inside the top 20. He is way more skillful than most above him and that includes Garcia who is the most over rated right now and I would pick Linares to beat him. Loma wins this fight because there is no one around can beat him right now but Linares is a tougher fight for him than Garcia. The question should be where would Linares be rated if he scored a legitimate win over Loma?

Linares' win streak is just as impressive as Felix Sturms was. Wins over Euro level and domestic level guys isn't really impressive at all. Linares resume has little in terms of quality.
