Oh, MIKEY? I thought comparisons were being drawn to Ryan (Kingry).

Haney is as much not on Mikey's level as Kingry isn't on his. Comparisons in either direction are silly.

Eh, not every prospect ends up hitting the dart board. Some fizzle out, get their chins checked, have poor gas tanks, etc.

 

If he continues to progress and learns to set down consistently on his punches, definitely. Too early to call him the dominant fighter of the 2020's, obviously...But Haney's definitely worth following from this point forward.

 

He looks much better than shakur with that said shakur has less pro fights.

 

I'd give Haney a B+ for his performance. I was pretty impressed, though he doesn't seem to be a particularly spiteful puncher, only a competent one.

 

He was no more defensive than Lomachenko. He used his legs, and used angles.

 

I phrased what I said poorly. I feel bad that anyone thought he would win after that performance.

 

It wasn't a ref stoppage, Menard's corner pulled the plug. If anything they should've earlier.

 

I think Haney would beat Ryan Garcia from what I saw of Garcia last time out. I was talking about Mikey Garcia. A guy with Haney's type of athleticism is the type of guy that would give Lomachenko some problems in a year or two also.

 

Shakur ain't gonna amount to much. He can't even stop resume padding bums.

garcia has the tools, lightning reflexes and heavy hands can take you a long way if you learn proper technique. he doesnt appear to have chin or stamina issues and has all the time he needs. i think both guys will be around in 7 years defending straps.
