The Adonis Stevenson vs Badou Jack prediction thread..

Mind says Adonis. Heart roots for Badou (unless money is on Adonis, which it probably will be).

jack doesn't move enough and isn't athetic enough if stevenson shows his age which is possible he could lose. but if he is the same as he has been then this will be another win.

I think people are putting very little into stevenson the hate towards him shouldn't have anything to with his skills he isnt the B+ champion people say he is a legit fighter.

 

I have a feeling Stevenson will knock Jack out. However, Kovalev, Bivol, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk would all knock them both out!

 

Jack is going to stop the old pimp late, rounds 10-12.

 

Stevenson I think will score an early knockdown but tire real badly and jack takes over the fight and wins a ud or late stoppage Adonis hasn’t had a fight go over 5 rounds since 2015 and he’s 40 now.

 

Hoping Jack can end the hostage situation, and get Stevenson off the belt he's milked for far too long. That being said, I'm expecting Stevenson to stop Jack, as much as that idea/reality sucks to admit. Either way, will be at the ACC to see it.

 

stevenson is old and a one trick cherry picking pony. badou is a powerless hype job from a wasteland division. stevenson should win easily, if he isn't shot. kovalev would easily ko jack inside three.

 

The old man won't have enough in the tank when Jack gets through the first 6. Stevenson to take a lead early in the fight, maybe even a pretty big one, but Jack to pull himself back in the middle rounds and push on the gas late to pick up a close decision.

Something in my gut says draw though, I've no idea why, I never pick a draw

 

that could be true if he gets old in this fight but from what I've seen in Jack fights he usually has nothing in the late rounds. and I know people will say bute was on PEDS but still jack gassed HEAVILY vs bute and lost the last 3 rounds kind of wide, and this was vs a shot bute. I know people will say the weight held jack down and maybe that's true, but I think jacks gas tank isn't amazing. I think a lot of people want stevenson to lose more than he thinks he will. there was a poll for stevenson vs fonfara 2, and it was 55% fonfara. this is stevenson best fight since Bellew. it's kind of tough to call but I'd favour stevenson. I could see stevenson being up 8-4 and the fight going to Jack and nobody world cry robbery for stevenson even if he clearly was robbed.

 

I agree with stevenson should win unless he has slown down a lot and it's hard to tell since the fight vs Sakio Bika stevenson hasn't even broken a sweat.

For Kovalev it's much the same unless Kovalev is really damaged from the Ward fights he should be able to get into the position he wants before jack does. Jack might be able to come foward close enough at a distance Kovalev isn't good at (kovalev isnt very good on the inside) I don't think Jack is crafy enough to be on the inside long enough for the first 12. not if kovalev has the same legs he has shown in early rounds even vs ward x 2 and chilemba he had strong legs first 6. (well not first 6 in the ward rematch)

 

Oh yeah, I don't mean it in any sense that Jack is an engine, I am just predicting that Stevenson will be more tired than him. Stevenson hasn't fought more than half a 12 rounder in a long time now. You are right that I'm banking on Stevenson being old, a little, but it's just how I see it.

As for the dislike stuff, I personally have no allegence to either, and would have no problem seeing Stevenson win, I neither particularly like nor dislike either of them, I'm a complete neutral. So that isn't swaying my opinion, personally (If either gets robbed, I'll certainly be calling robbery).

 

I went for Stevenson, it's the power... but wouldn't be surprised if Badou won.
