I'm not even some big Spence fan or anything but c'mon. That clip is literally Spence beating him to the punch by a quarter mile and their heads leading into each other from there... The amount of other controversies and conspiracy theories that are worth threads before this are astronomical.

Accidental headbutt. Spence was already in the process of breaking brook down as early as round 2. The body attack slowed brook down.

    Two things about that butt...

First, before they hit heads, Brook lands a left hook. The left hook is a nice counter to a southpaw straight left; to land it, you need to slide your left foot inside his right foot. Brook made a move to do that.

Second, their feet got tangled a bit before the butt because they were both stepping for the inside punching position. Spence seemed to be more affected by it than Brook and fell into him.

I had Brook ahead but Spence was slowly beating the will out of him, he was getting finished one way or the other.

Definitely not and intentional but, But brooks eye injury was a massive factor in determining the outcome of this fight, These guy's still have unfinished business imo.

Watch about the first 30 seconds of round 6. Brook sends Spence stumbling toward the ropes then wades in with a flurry, and they start trading then. After that is the first time in the fight Brook starts dabbing at his eye, so the initial injury was probably caused there (and its alluded to on commentary before the 8th) and worsened by the headclash you talk about.

I would like to see this rematch though at 154. Both great fighters but I think the weight and the unlucky injury badly handicapped Brook

This^^ There are still unanswered questions, Just how much did the weight and eye injury effect brook? I would love to see them run it back at 154, This is one fight that absolutely warrants a rematch, Spence has said he will fight brook at 154 if he wins a title, i think that is more than fair from Spence, and i also think Spence is a man of his word.

Brook knows what it feels like to break an eye socket, so he could have made a meal of it there in round 8. Thus provided the doctor had stopped it mid round, Brook would have won a split as only Byrd (suprise, suprise) didn't have Brook ahead through 7

It was accidental, not purposeful. No point deduction was warranted. If all head butts were illegal,
then Andre Wards record would be 0 and something. And school me if I'm wrong, but Brook didn't complain about the butt after the bout as much as you guys are doing now.

    Ok, give them a rematch.

This, I don't care what anyone says. Brook was the best welterweight in the world imo going in against GGG. Most would view it as an excuse from a Brook fan, but without the injury i think he ud's Spence with no controversy. He was comfortable with everything before the eye went. Spence is a good strong kid, but I think he would be a slight step behind Brook healthy

I forget where I read it, but apparently if your fracture is bad enough one side, it can lead to weakening of the other side too, but well spotted with the head clash, it was hard

As it has been said before, fighting man Brook, a warrior. He took it like a man without moaning, when he quite easily could've said something
