Showtime: Devin Miles Haney vs. Mason Joseph Menard & Glenn Dezurn Jr. vs. Joshua Greer Jr. RBR.

He’s so insanely fast though. He’s the kind of guy who makes blood and guts warriors look like hopelessly outclassed barroom brawlers. I think he’s the real deal.

 

A fight between Devin Haney and Hank Lundy in Philly would be good.

 

Another good step up fight for haney to take make it happen.

Talking about Mikey Garcia. Haney should stay away from him.

 

Good thing I happened to intervene here, people were having two entirely separate conversations thinking everybody was on the same page.

 

Haney would **** up Oscar's Garcia right now.

 

Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Devin Haney. That could be a good fight in the future.

 

That was a great performance by Haney. The kid impressed me. This was a step up for him, but you wouldn't know it by how well he handled the occasion.

Menard was knocking on the door of fringe contender status after a nice little run, but Beltran and Haney pretty much slammed the door on him advancing past the journeyman level.

 

That heightened perception of Menard was illusory, as the Dominican was unproven and we already knew Mamadjanov was a fun but extremely limited TV fighter.

 

You're right, but the performances did leave me wondering how much room was left before Menard hit his ceiling. Safe to say we know that now.

 

I ended up fast forwarding this fight. Menard looked like a spooked fighter. Menard was fun to watch when he was fighting lesser competition but once the comp got better Menard proved he couldn't compete. Time for Menard to hang them up. It will be interesting to see where Haney goes from here. He looked awesome against Menard but is Menard a good barometer? Don't know.

 

"in the future." Yeah, when Loma is old and gray. Loma picks Haney apart like he did Walters. Maybe Haney can take on Loma when he is 21 and Loma 32. But I suspect Haney grows out of this weight range. Come to think of it, that would be a really interesting fight, Walters and Haney. It would give an indication of where Haney really is.

 

Who should Haney fight next? Maybe a quick fighter, so we know how he does against speed?
