Yeah and guess what., Hughie lost to Parker by a point and that was debatable, just like AJ's win over Parker.

Yeah, there's levels and AJ and Parker are on the same one.:deal: And Hughie isn't far below it.

    I'll quickly add this.

If Hughie Fury has power, why is he fighting on the backfoot against Sam Sexton?

Because he's a defensive backfoot counter puncher perhaps?

Newly crowned British champ Hughie "Big Cat" Fury v newly crowned Commonwealth champ Joe "Jockstrap" Joyce.

    Let's get it on.

Tough fight for both guys b/c a win for either isn't certain.

Hughie lost to parker by 118-110 on two cards....Parker lost to Joshua 118-110 on two cards.

Scorecards were fine and represented the levels between the fighters.

Yeah, well guess what, those cards were VERY wrong, IB and I both had the same score of 115-113 Parker, and here's the catch, we're both fairly high on Parker, Hughie, not so much, so we had no Fury bias.

He clearly isn't a big puncher, but if you are a good counter puncher you can walk people into shots to amplify your power.

Sometimes being better offensively doesn't just mean walking forward more, it can actually mean moving back more to walk your opponents on to traps. That's why I will never just give fighters rounds for just being the aggressor because when you combine movement with counter punching it can be the better offensive strategy.

Power gets you hard doesn't it?

No, that's how he fights, because that's how he fights.

Well it cost him against Parker.....

And it will do against any decent opponent.

A win against Sexton wouldn't be impressive for any of our other HW's...Even a second win over him for Price.

No, Parker is just a world class talent.

What are you implying, Sexon is a bum because he was KO'd by Price? Yeah most Brit level Heavies would lose to Price by KO.

He has nice movement but I do think he needs to mix it up a little more and not be on the back foot offensive as much as he is..
Don't get me wrong, I know that's his style, but he definitely Needs to add a lot more aggression/spite into his game.

Let's get real here, you can't judge hughie on beating sam sexton ffs. Derek chisora knocked sexton out eight years ago. It's easy to be aggressive when your in with a pudding.

Both scorecards too wide. I'm a fan of Parker as you see from my avatar so it goes both ways.

Fury probably gets KO'ed by AJ, but styles make fights and skillwise he can certainly compete. Just don't think he has the power to concern Joshua at this stage, even tonight against Sexton his punches didn't look that powerful to me.
