Rises of course. Great win and good finish. That was a flash knockdown.

In what way could his stock drop? He just fought the undisputed best fighter in the division above and dominated him for virtually all of the fight. That Linares dropped him would enhance his stock, if anything.

I'm seeing people saying the fight was close and competetive... outside the KD Lomacheno was blocking everything and hitting with everything

Can't go down, can only stay the same or rise. Sure, he got knocked down but it isn't like he was pancaked flat on his back or anything. More like at solid flash knockdown, but a knockdown just the same. Still an impressive performance, and Linares fought a good fight too. Good show!

Drops although I suppose it depends on how you want to define stock.
I'm sorry but I can only assume some of you are very influenced by the commentary.

He got dropped, caught cleaner than before, demonstrably got shook by several shots and matched in ringsmarts a lot of the time. Linares handily dealt with a lot of his slickster side-step moves and held him like a toddler in clinches.

The next few days/weeks will be telling to see who calls him out now they've seen the Linare blueprint.

How can his stock go down with a knockout?? I think Mikey beats him similar to how FMJ beat JMM where Mayweather has all of Marquez skills plus size but he won’t get dominated like Marquez

If you had him p4p # 1 before this fight it doesn’t drop and if you didn’t have him number 1 before you should now.

So yes it goes up. He moved up fought a great fighter in their prime and stopped them in a fantastic fight

    • both. rises in much of the public eye. drops in many future opponents eyes. a win win for loma. should result in an easier time getting fights.

I had it 7-2....I don't see how Linares could've been up unless people were looking specifically for it.

Getting backed up and outjabbed by the smaller fighter isn't how you win rounds. I thought Compubox really overstated how much Linares was actually landing- Loma controlled the tempo, controlled the distance, and had many more of the eye-catching shots land.

It rises, he just went up a class and dominated the champion of the class.

Let's not get ridiculous! Linares landed more power shots through round 7. Saying Linares did not land anything is just nut sucking taken to a new level.
