I was getting a bit concerned he was going to fight in his shell again in those first couple of rounds. However, that jab was lovely and once he got into his rhythm he let some hurtful right hands go. His timing was perfect, how good was that second knock down? Ok, he was only fighting Norwich’s P4P king but that was a very nice stoppage. There as always been a question mark over his power, but he showed tonight that he can dig hard when he wants to.
If you don't know what happened and watch it as soon as you arise from bed - what is the difference? Unless you are betting during the fight there is no difference mate or am I missing something?
Yes Hughie Fury my first decent winning be of the year!! Went into Ladbrokes on my break just before it shut on stuck £35 on round 5 (my daughter turns 5 tomorrow so was a random guess!)...got it at 12/1 so won £455 in total!! Haven't even watched the fight yet, going to stick it on now..
Nice little earner you've had last-night fella .... Happy birthday to you're daughter for today hope you all have a good-one.
well done mate, dont say you werent influenced by my slight hint lol. fair play lad! i was gonna whack 20quid on 4-6 but i couldnt be bothered to go to the bookies.
I seen @CutThroatFade say in the general forum could we potentially see Tyson v Hughie? With him not being there tonight it stirred the pot again and Tyson is fully expected to win all the belts off AJ (I don’t see it). Hughie’s comments post fights where that he’s coming for the belts, no matter who’s got them! Which to me had a slight implication that he would fight Tyson? Or maybe I’m reading too much in to it?
Hughie might not be quite the world beater his father thinks he is, but he is several times better than Bellew and Haye. It's shocking what British fans these days are buying on PPV compared to what they can get free on Channel Five. I suppose credit goes to Barry Hearn and his puppets for being able to sell their crap. Quite a good performance from Hughie. I'd like to see him stay at British level for a couple of fights, get rid of some challengers, win Lonsdale outright etc. That's unlikely though.
He won't be fighting Tyson Fury. And I don't think Tyson is "fully expected" to win anything. In fact, the odds are against him making a hugely successful comeback.
Samantha Sexton one of the UK all time Heavyweight greats, winning the Title against Gladiator Gary Cornish beaten by Hughie 'The Running Skirt' Fury. Says it all about how the British Heavyweight Title over the past 12 months. Will 'The Skirt' defend against Joyce or Dubois - no chance as he will keep running and vacate.
