What exactly am I bitter about?

I predicted Loma would lose round 1 and dominate the rest of the fight.

I know a lot of fanboys don't like real talk, and would rather pretend their favorite fighter is some kind of Greek God...Im here to bring truth and balance to this forum.

Its been a while since I've seen it, I had it 116-112 IIRC. And a fairly seasoned JMM doing a great job against an inexperienced journeyman, right after drawing with Manny Pacquiao in a FOTY, is hardly comparable with Lomachenko drawing, and yes it should have been a draw, or even a loss to Salido, in his second pro fight.

A seasoned Lomachenko with 30 fight experience he would give Marquez fits. Loma is still learning this pro game.
He had another lesson against Linares.

Salido lost that fight , unless you count low blows as legit punches, then maybe a draw. Salido should have been disqualified.

Bit of trivia: JMM has actually fought a Ukrainian before and he said he was the smartest fighter he's fought

    SMARTEST

Sergey Fedchenko: The Ukrainian fighter, no one knew him. He had a great counterpunching (style), speed and a great jab. He was very intelligent also. Manuel “Mantecas” Medina was also very smart.

I was thinking the exact same thing whilst watching (obviously Marquez when he was still active) Loma would've played to Juan's strengths stylistically, would've made a great scrap.

You give Marquez way too much credit and discredit Loma's attributes. Loma has better ring IQ than Pac. Loma has better skills than Pac too. Only thing Pac is better was speed and power which is what was killing Marquez until he figured out Pac does the same thing over and over. Loma doesn't make that mistake. He can adapt and we have seen him do it. To be honest I really don't know who will win between Marquez and Loma and wish Loma had been in that same era but you are making out Marquez to be some type of unbeatable guy based only on a KD and on a Salido fight. The Loma that fought Salido is not the same Loma as today. And same thing with Marquez. That Marquez that fought Salido wasn't the same Marquez that got better as he got older and wiser.

I'm surprised that he didn't name Floyd as the smartest fighter he's fought.

Marquez agreed to speak about the best fighters he fought in 10 categories.

    BEST JAB

Marco Antonio Barrera: When you want to dodge a jab using speed, you must calculate it. That is what I did with him. I tried to guess where his punches were going and then counterpunch and decrease their accuracy.

    BEST CHIN

Manny Pacquiao: He took a good shot and he always returned stronger.

    FASTEST HANDS

Pacquiao: He has a lot of power and speed.

    FASTEST FEET

Pacquiao: He is always everywhere. He is a tough fighter.

    SMARTEST

Sergey Fedchenko: The Ukrainian fighter, no one knew him. He had a great counterpunching (style), speed and a great jab. He was very intelligent also. Manuel “Mantecas” Medina was also very smart.

    STRONGEST

Pacquiao: When he fought, he moved his hips a lot. Then I analyzed that all his power came from there, in the hips. I understood that he couldn’t do his power moves and he would have problems if I used speed so I started fighting different.

    BEST PUNCHER

Pacquiao: In all the fights I had, nobody hit me harder than him.

    BEST DEFENSE

Pacquiao: He is great at closing his defense, he has a good guard and it is very hard to land (a clean punch). After four fights with him, I was able to know him better. I also learned his mistakes. Fedchenko also had great defense.

    BEST SKILLS

Juan Diaz: Juan has a lot of speed. He was aggressive and elusive. On the other hand, Joel (Casamayor) was great with the distance and he was a brilliant fighter.

    BEST OVERALL

Pacquiao: Without doubt, the best pound-for-pound of his time and I faced him at his best.

Loma beats Marquez. Loma pressed the action all night on Linares to nullify his height and reach- he was doing so well with it, he got over confident and caught with a good right hand.
He wouldn’t have to press so hard against Marquez because Marquez possesses different physical dimensions than Linares. Even though both guys have similar styles and Marquez had awesome timing. Lomachenko could box from range more comfortably against him. Style wise it would be a great fight but if you’re picking Marquez to win because Linares landed a beauty of a right hand then you’re mistaken because Loma’s Game plan would be different against Marquez.

Waiting for the typical "LOMAS BEEN IN MY TOP 3 P4P BUT...." as a way of validating some posts.
