I see a lot on the forum had Linares up which doesnt surprise me. They were wrong about Deontay, wrong about GGG , wrong about Spence and now wrong about Loma. Thats what I like about this forum is its consistency.
Wrong about Spence? In the Brook fight? That was a pretty close fight up until Kell's injury. I thought Kell was winning with the cleaner work up until the 7th.
I feel like I want to co-sign this thread but I'm reluctant to be on Team Deontay Gets To Be Put In The Same Breath As GGG or Lomachenko (Or Even Spence)...
Who has been telling you for years it will be Deontay over Joshua in the end. THIS GUY that's who. Deontay is God's chosen one.
Agree about Loma and GGG, Wilder still has lots of questions to answer and not sure what you meant with Spence.
6 and 9 were the only rounds I could give to Linares with any confidence. He was losing 6 before the KD as well.
I need to watch it again through unblurred sober eyes but im sure i gave Linares 2 or 3 of the 9 full rounds with an extra point for the KD in the 6th. Need to watch it again but i very much doubt i will see something that looks like Linares being ahead by the end of the 9th. He wasnt taking a beating and he wasnt getting schooled but he was losing most of those rounds to the better fighter.
Okay but he still hasn't done that yet. Golovkin has beaten every top middleweight (officially or unofficially) except BJS and he'd beat him too...maybe, if he catches him soon enough before GGG is too shot to handle that gypsy slickness. Lomachenko has carved a path of technical ecstasy to a historically fast 3rd divisional championship. I feel like there's a whole lot more to be "right" about with GGG and Loma than with Deontay... If he and Joshua meet and Wilder comes out on top, by all means you may bump this and have your day in the sun. But for now let's maybe not put Wilder in the same breath as guys that are lightyears ahead of him p4p, eh?
Great post, like I said the consistency on this forum is to be admired. Please remember this conversation.
I had Lomachenko easily winning the fight on points at the time of the knockout!!!!!!! Oscar must have owned the judges. Teddy Atlas was correct about the judges being wrong. Wasn't Trella the judge that had El Pollo winning the 7 th round the even Byrd have Golovkin winning? Oscar seems to own judges everywhere he goes.............
Great post. My problem with ODLH is he is proud of putting stains on this great sport of boxing that he had such success in.
Byrd, Patricia Jarman, Trella, let's keep track of the corrupt judges. Julie Lederman is not a good judge either. Harold Lederman is usually pretty good, close to my scoring at least..............
I've never been impressed with Wilder. Good jab and his right hand power is off the charts, but otherwise he looks amateur most of the time.
