M. Ali went to the floor 3-4 career times when hit properly by left hookers...some great punchers, others just average fighters.
Professional fighters "punch hard", and when they land just right. things happen.

Had Linares put more weight on that punch, it's reasonable to assume that Loma would have seen it coming.

 

So let me double check.... you're saying if he'd been hit harder it would have hurt more?

 

He beat the count easy.

 

If you watch the KD in slow mo watch Loma's eyes. They're alive, not a glimpse of loss of consciousness. Loma got caught squared up and got KD because of it.

Linares has good power, as evidenced by many of his wins. He caught Loma perfectly. Loma took it well because he saw the punch. I wouldn't say Loma has a glass chin by any means. I have seen Bud and One Time wobble more than Loma did off this shot.

 

I wouldn't go that far yet. But questions have been raised about his ability to take a punch.

 

If Linares had a few more pounds he'd been a Jr Welter, and this fight wouldn't have happened.

JK, doesnt matter, Loma beat the count quick - while he did run out the last few seconds, he's fought more than a few great punchers.
