It was a really close fight that could have gone either way at the time of the stoppage. That said, even with the stoppage I think Loma had more left in the tank and was less damaged, so I think he would have pulled it out regardless. The punch stats were fine, IMHO.

Compubox stats are always wrong fighters don`t land even nearly the amount of shots that those stats suggest and neither did Linares.

ive got to disagree, i didnt think it was close tbh, it was about 6-3, thought Loma was always in control, and as OP says, a lot landed on gloves and arms. I'm not sure how the last 3 would've gone though, Linares famously gets his second wind around that time, and round 9 was his strongest round, discounting the 6th of course. i think thats what makes the stoppage even better. Linares was coming off of his most dominant round and Loma went out and did that to him

Compare this to the compubox stats for the GGG fight, those stats are bull!

Compubox is extremely flawed. It´s only good for counting punches thrown.
The whole "Punch Stats" system should be abolished.

I’ve never seen compubox stats as flawed as in this fight. The fight was as close as the GRJ fight.

I'm studying the fight right now.

First round goes definitely to Lomachenko.

    1. Compubox is not reliable, and never has been.
    2. They tend to count blocked shots.

I'm not a big fan of it and hate how much someone like Lampley quotes it or relies on it as far as analyzing a fight

I cringe when I see it used as a reason for explaining a winner. Fights are scored on a round by round basis not punches landed over 12 rounds or facial damage

I didn't pay attention to Compufraud, but not doubt they were off for both fighters.

I think that you're a fan of Lomachenko :) And that Lomachenko isn't in best p4p(and not number 2), at that moment.
You see many shots landed at Loma's arms, and compubox is telling you, that there were more than 500 uneffective shots. The problem is that they count "everything".I always look at compubox as +-20% for boths.
The fight was unexpectedly close(odd for Linares was 9 to 1).Linares take some rounds clearly(judges scored draw), but in generally Lomachenko was controlling the fight and it was hard to believe that Linares can take the win.

Fight was not close. It was a blowout save for the 6th round. Lomachenko beat the cr@p outta him. Linares won two rounds, the 6th and the 9th. HE came out strong in the 10th and the smaller man streamrolled him.
