    Iron Mike wasn't really a model type was he? Sonny Liston? Joe Frazier?

    I think it's about a total package: looks, charisma, exceptional boxing skill, likeability or simply being gangsta. If you lack one thing it's probably not hurting too much. When a fighter lacks in multiple departments it seriously impedes his marketability.

    Yep the more I think about it the more I think it's just a click bait article. No way Joshua earns more than Canelo. Canelo/Golovkin did a ton of buys. Only way is if Joshua is earning crazy money for endorsements.

    I'm guessing they would have got a reasonably modest up-front fee and the balance after the tournaments are concluded. That money probably hasn't been factored in as yet. That's my hunch...

    Joshua does have a crazy number of endorsements though, I could see that. Can't see Golovkin over Canelo though.

    However, on the other hand Forbes is usually pretty reliable - it's the #1 source for rich-lists.
