https://imgur.com/gallery/txmk3NB My breakdown of how Lomachenko became the fastest 3 weight champion in boxing history.
Good read, just one mistake: "two time gold medalist with a 398-2 record as an amature" Loma only had one loss.
I've heard a bunch of different numbers from a bunch of different sources, prove it and I'll gladly edit.
Escudo, thank you for this. As always, a pleasure. However I keep hearing that Jeff Fenech was the fastest to three weight titles (20 pro fights), while Oscar did it in 22.
Who were all these sources that you heard he had two loses in the ams from? The only loss I’ve seen footage from is Selimov and he avenged that twice. And all the articles I’ve read on his amateur record has one loss also.
I edited it, all the reputable sources confirm what you say, I can't remember the article where I saw it.
I don't understand anybody trying to put the dampeners on all the hype Loma gets. Visually, only Roy and maybe the 2 Sugar Rays can compare. Very special fighter, even gets casuals like myself watching lower weights. Thanks for another fine breakdown escudo, keep 'em coming.
It's 397 fights in general (not 398) with only one loss (to Selimov) and 396 victories. Maybe you've heard that Lomachenko lost to Robson Conceicao in 2011, but that is not true. That fight was initially judged in favor of Conceicao, but it was a robbery which was disputed by Loma's camp immediately. The result of the fight was changed consequently and Lomachenko won that tournament (Baku, 2011), actually.
