September 15th on HBO, if Golovkin vs. Álvarez II doesn't take place on the date. No title on the line because neither man has one. Saúl Álvarez is currently rated #5 by the IBF and #2 by the WBC & WBA, unrated by the WBO (at least not within its top 15). O'Sullivan is ranked #11 by the WBC, #6 by the WBA, #5 by the WBO and not ranked in the IBF top 15.
Is this the guy that looks like Daniel Day-Lewis? In that case, there will be blood, and it won't beTaintelo`s blood.
@CST80 Really?! Don't think O'Sullivan has much of a chance, as he got spanked by both Saunders and Eubank Jr.
Spike is way to easy to be hit. Alvarez has under rated defense and will not get hit flush by Spike's power shots. Easy UD for the Ginger.
This will be a fan friendly fight because Spike is gonna come forward and get countered often by Cinnamon. It's not a bad option. No one was mad when Spike was being considered for Golovkin, no one should be mad about this possibility.
So you-ve missed the " he's ducking mandatory fighter Sergey Derevyanchenko" crowd. Even Spike was supposed to be a short notice fight, which clearly isnt the case here. So apples to oranges my friend. The crowd who screamed mismatch against GGG vs Spike should do the same here but obviously they wont. I say....Canelo should fight Sergey Derevyanchenko in September, theres enough time to get ready so why not ?! Winner gets a shot at GGG, I doubt SD would refuse a fight against the Mexican. What do you think ? Regarding this topic Spike is the perfect fight for a clean Canelo. I aint complaining. I just hope ginger puts him out in a fan friendly fight.
