Carnera had way too many opponents get paid to take a dive for me to take him too seriously

I rate carnera on the Kevin McBride level as far as head to head ability

    Way too many?

It has been proven in one, or maybe two cases.

Might that have had something to do with the fact that he was shot when he fought Leroy Haynes?

What equalizers did he have when he fought Joe Louis?

Can't you guys see how you are going to torturous lengths to find negatives here?

You throw out a speculative accusation that he drew the color bar, then when I point out that he didn't, you shoot back with "oh well, that is probably because his fights were fixed."

    That is not being objective.

That is acting as the prosecution!

OK, so lets have the evidence.

    I mean credible evidence!
You implied that the only reason why he did not draw the color bar, was because he had certain unfair advantages.

What we see is three revisionist posters,You Choclab and Resnik, tortuously constructing an elaborate fairy tale and brushing aside all evidence and eyewitness accounts to the contrary. Gallico wasnt a boxing man . See had an axe to grind. The sports writers disliked him because he wasnt American etc ad nauseum BS!

    We are not revisionists.

We just trust the fighters who were contemporary with Carnera, more than we trust hacks like Galico.

I am not sure what the process was, but he was obviously willing to fight whoever was put in front of him.

Peoples should at least give him that!
