He adapts better than Pac and gets hit far less.

    Agree.
Its too early to label him as an ATG, but, if he keeps up this pace, he’ll get there before his 20th pro fight.

Loma couldn`t off taken the right hands that Ray took off Hearns who was a harder puncher than Linares and Loma couldn`t have taken the punishment Ray took vs Duran, maybe Loma wouldn`t of taken this punishment v these great beasts but that`s not the point, the point is Ray was tough as nails, tougher than Loma just maybe not as smart, two great fighters, no doubt.

Three weight titlist. At no weight class was he undisputed champion. At 126, he lost to Salido, then beat Russell Jr., but then avoided the other top boxers in the weight class. He then moved up to 130, and didn't fight the two best opponents outside of himself. Then he moved up to 135 a thinner division and beat the second best guy there. 17-1, titles in three weight class is good. I say 17 and 1 because most of you refuse to acknowledge that when he was an amateur, the rules called for head gear, and amateur style point scoring. Lomachenko fought six bouts, under pro rules, without head gear, and got paid for them at a time when the Amateurs still used headgear, and still used that amateur point scoring system. Those six fights were pro fights, directly preceding his Top Rank debut.

Seeing as we've had only a couple of undisputed champs in the last ten years, why is that a negative on Loma?

Pac was certainly beatable. That's why he has losses, but so is Loma. Let's not forget that he took an L as a pro against Salido. Loma's win against Russel was quality and Rigo was a great win, but Rigo was just too small. He's also not nearly as accomplished as a pro as JMM. Mikey Garcia has a JMM type of style. Let's see how Loma does against such a fighter.

I think it’s clear we are watching an all-time great.

Where he ascends upon that list remains to be seen, but his talent is pretty extraordinary. Anyone who denies that is simply a troll.

Very possible he will rank up there with Manny and Floyd when his career is over. Still has plenty of work to do but his resume at this point is FAR greater than theirs (but he’s much older at the same juncture).

He could be entering his absolute prime now and that will be a sight to behind. Remember he only has a dozen fights at the pro level, he’s not a finished product by any means. As accomplished as he was an amateur, the pros are a very different animal.

Don't even waste too much time on these Looneys..

I'm pretty sure most of what they post is to stir **** up.

These guys are bottom dwellers and are not interested in honest dialogues.

Loma has had so few fights against really good fighters. I didn't see Pac taking a lot of punches against a great fighter like MAB. I'm confident in saying that Barrerra is better than anyone that Loma has fought.

Pac also fought far bigger men than himself. Even hall of famers like Cotto. I don't 100% disagree with the assertion, but I don't think that Loma has fought enough great fighters and bigger men to suggest that he's a better technician than Pac. A lot of Loma's opponents have been custom made. Don't forget how Pac easily used his skill to out box fighters that totally dwarfed him like Clottey and Margarito.

Loma doesn't have the opponents to reach the level of Pacquiao or Mayweather, and time is definitely not on his side.

Loma would have to do some extraordinary things to be considered an ATG.

While being a 3 division champion in 11 fights is an impressive feature, he is 30 years old and does have 400 fights combined under his belt.

In contrast you have Wildred Benitez who by age 22 he was a 3 division champion.

I love Loma and I think he's a great fighter and great for boxing. The best P4P fighter atm, but it seems people are getting carried away with the hype.

Most fighters start declining between age 30-32. He may be an anomaly like Mayweather, Marquez, Pacquiao, and Hopkins, or he may not. Only time will tell.

But for now he is a pleasure to watch and both he and Linares put a hell of a performance last weekend.

It looks like your confusing Ray Leonard with Ray Robinson. But your point about Leonard still stands. He’s usually considered to be the second greatest welterweight behind Robinson and they’re both ATGs
