A possible schooling awaits Benavidez, but the most likely outcome is Matvey being viciously TKO'd/

korobov can win this if he fights smart and doesn't just walk into a shot like against andy lee who he was beating easy

To late and to big a guy for Korobov. Got them skills still but the reflexes that made him such a successful amateur have gradually declined which is a bit exacerbated by his frame.

But he will leave everything in the ring me thinks.

I don't wanna see this fight I've been a fan of Korobov since the amateurs and I'm a big fan of Benavidez too. I feel gutted for Korobov how his career has panned out and all the back luck he's had and he'll be going from bad luck to terrible luck if he faces Benavidez who is a big, strong, hard hitting and very talented SMW (more a natural LHW). Korobov needs a break not a broken face.

Yes, Korobov has been exceptionally unfortunate. However he's been asking for a chance against pretty much anyone from MW to LHW, I'd still be glad to see him get one more chance. If he could pull it off he'd be in a great position, and if not, at least he'll get paid. The risk/reward is worth it at this stage as the alternative is being frozen out.

Yeah I get that and I wanna see him get another chance as much as anyone, but preferably not against Benavidez if possible, partly because I'm a fan of both, and partly because after all the rotten luck Korobov's had in his career a fight against a killer like Benavidez will likely be a horrible end to it IMO.

I understand that it's better than no shot at all if that's the only other option. However, like I said, Benavidez is a very big SMW and a beast and I don't want to see Korobov take a nasty beating and he's got a good chin so I think there's a distinct possibility of that happening.

Korobov is a talent and he does blow hot and cold so I wouldn't completely write off his chances of pulling it off (he'd have to catch Benavidez with something big to win IMO). But I'd strongly favour Benavidez and the last thing I wanna see Korobov do is take a beating like Gavril did in his rematch with Benavidez. I was actually concerned for Gavril's well being as early as round 4 in that one and I have no idea how the hell he gutted it out to the final bell. That was one of the most impressive displays of heart, chin, and toughness I've seen in many a year. He wound up with a broken jaw and nose and almost certainly a concussion for his bravery.

Korobov wanted to fight Zurdo before he was released by top rank. But Zurdo didnt want it. Korobov weakness is hard punchers, i believe that he would have given Zurdo problems thats why he turned it down.

This is more impressive than anything David has accomplished thus far in his career. Korobov shouldn't be written off here.

That was an impressive win and performance by Korobov. He's fought 4 times since losing to Lee and was taken the distance in all of them, though. Strange fighter: Beats Jose Uzcategui and looks really good doing so, dropping Jose x 2 along the way, stops Derek Edwards and the very tough Ossie Duran (the only man to stop the later), but has struggled against journeymen numerous times and failed to put away a whole bunch of fighters who've been stopped many times before.

I think Korobov. I saw blemishes in Benavidez's first fight against Gavril. Korobov is more skilled frankly speaking and he has more power than benavidez.

No lol. 14 fighters have gone the distance against Korobov and many of them have been stopped many times and by far lesser punchers and fighters than Benavidez. If Benavidez fought most of those guys he'd be arrested for mass murder.

A a Benavidez-Fan, i dont like this fight. High risk, low reward. Korobov can still outbox a young, unpolished Benavidez.

Korobov is one of the great wastes of this generation.

Had so much talent but was plagued with inactivity and pointless fights.

The loss to Lee was his big shot and he didn't take it
