does it matter? Fury would bamboozle carnera round after round with fast long hooks, jabs, and straight punches. carnera would work his way inside and never get there. Halfway through the fight fury would switch to southpaw and clown carnera by hitting him non stop with straight lefts, right jabs, and then began throwing punches from all angles while always moving out of range as carnera tries to close the gap

12 rounds to 0...if carnera makes it.

Alexander Povetkin is ready to be taken.

Remember, you heard it here third or fourth!

Bold prediction. Has there ever been a thirty-eight year old fighter who wasn't ready to be taken?

Possibly - hell, maybe even probably - but unless I'm misreading your tone you appear to be at least three times as confident as you should be (by my lights). Carnera is faster than Fury, has as long a reach or longer (or so I think, I'll check later), has significantly better form and probably punches about as hard, and can be safely assumed to be quite a bit stronger. I see nothing, absolutely nothing, to make an upset highly unlikely.

fury has outpointed a 37 year old wlad, semi shot really but world class when he was prime. Thats ahis record on the world scene... unless you include that higy dubious win over cunningham where he was allowed to elbow trap his man so as to land a ko blow. If you include it, thats two wins of note.

carnera has shown the breadth of ability to beat world class Sharkey, a post prime Godfrey, plus Gains and Loughran.
    Carnera obviously is better.

WHat is in question here is why on earth people are debating it when Fury has yet to complete his career and can only bring one real win to the table.

He appears to be from the footage I've seen. If Fury is faster it ain't by much.

quite possibly yes the HoFer stops him, fury was getting his ugly mutt outboxed by cunningham before he cheated his way out.

although steve was world class once too of course.

yeh but Doc Emmet McVey Brown do you know how many fighters will have beat fury when his entire career is over? u got a time machine? otherwise compare like for like , like this -

after 25 fights, loughran won the LHW title and had successfully defended it three times, years younger than fury hit the world scene. He went on to prove HW pedigree by campaigning there succesfully on the world level, but no title.

COMPARISON - After 25 fights fury had beaten semi shot wlad. thats all.
What will Fury go on to do? At present it looks like nothing.

besides which, he lost because he fought the best available. Fury has fought one best available, and I class wlad very loosely as that seeing as he got regularly poleaxed by nobodies.

Fury is currently a fighter with one good win, while Carnera has a resume.

Let's wait and see what happens next with Fury.

Exactly. I like the kid but the faith in him after years away, mental illness and all..it just seems a bit outlandish at this point in time.
