That was not De La Hoya’s best weight. He had already moved up in weight several times. Barkley is just too strong. Oscar would land some good shots that really won’t hurt Iran. Oscar might think he’s winning until Barkley counters with his own, then Oscar goes down. Much like Barkley/Hearns I.

I can't see it being like Barkley vs hearns I for me de la Hoya would find out quite early on he was in with someone who could bully him in the ring . De la Hoya did not have the power in his jab or any other shot to deter the bigger man Barkley by stoppage around the 6th

Certainly wasn't Oscars best weight. But Barkley could be raw and untamed at his best so perhaps Oscar has a slight chance here .But he couldn't afford to let down guard it try toe to toe or hr ends up as Tommy did.Not sure if Oscar could avoid rumbling at some point and Barkley would love that. He has a slim chance here but its wafer thin of avoiding Iran and sticking to a game plan .

Barkley walks through him. Early ko stoppage.

ODLH got a gift against Sturm at 160. What the hell does anything think a brute like Barkley would do? Barkley walks through anything Hoya has.

Size and strength wins this one for Barkley. Can't see Oscar doing anything against Barkley.

Oscar stayed away from ran from Felix Trinidad a big 147lber. This is a huge 160lber. It would be a bad fight to watch. The reason we have weight divisions.

Hoya didn't fight relaxed and loose enough to survive in there against a monster like Iran.

Barkley, and it wouldn't be close. I see him destroying ODLH, and doing so without much trouble.

Good point. That was one of his flaws. Oscar always seemed so tense like he's worried what his dad was thinking. Hence the lack of stamina.

Barkley, if in a nasty mood, might give Oscar a grind down type whupping.
