How many people would fight Gary Russel Jr. in their 3rd fight coming off a loss? How many people would fight a non draw, high risk/low reward fighter like Rigo? How many people would fight a big punching low reward fighter like Walters? How many people would fight Linares in their first fight at a new weight class?

I bet you if Mikey Garcia offered him a fight tomorrow 50/50 split at 135 he would sign the paper in 5 seconds.

It's been a long time since I've seen a fighter who was willing to fight anybody like this. Over and over again. Even Ward took eons to tune himself up for Kovalev fight after the seemingly unending pissing contest about purse, venue, date, quantity of tune ups, ring size, etc.

Big punching/low reward walters? Walters couldn't even hurt Marriaga or Sosa at 126 lol. If anything he was high reward low risk due to his inactivity and not being able to weight bully anymore.

why be afraid of losing? I always give credit to a fighter for their wins, I never take it away for getting beat. being 50-0 is the same to me as 50-50 if you beat the same guys. Trying to achieve something and failing does not take away from other achievements. That said I don't think he does think anyone right now could beat him and I don't blame him. He's confident and does things no other current fighter can.

He was bigger than Loma. If anything the fight being at 130 was to Walters' advantage not the other way around.

He went 400-1 as an amateur. That will cement ones ego.

Losing is bad because modern boxing is full of cherry pickers. The top fighters don't fight often and they rarely fight other top fighters anymore. Losses are bad for promotion. It's hard to put a fighter with losses on TV. If only everybody would just fight the best.

Fair point from a business perspective. But I don't hold it against their other accomplishments as a fighter was what I was getting at.

I'm with you in a sense that Loma hasn't lined up ATG's and knocked em down one by one. But if there is one thing he will do, it's fight anybody.

If he’s an atg he will fight Garcia next and not Beltran. He and linares both ducked Garcia to fight each other.

If Garcia comes with a contract for 50/50 it gets signed before Garcia can even blink.

My point is Walters was a weight bully and had not accomplished anything at 130. **** it's been a while I don't know why I said 126.

I'm pretty sure he wants to fight Garcia. They asked Loma who he wanted to fight after he beat Rigo he said "Mikey Garcia". And that was all he said. It's a matter of Garcia sending over a 50/50 contract. All he has to do is print a piece of paper and give it to Loma. It gets signed in 5 seconds.
