TBS: Ryoichi Taguchi Vs Hekkie Budler RBR

1-Taguchi looking to jabon the outside, Budler looks the quicker man and the fight is getting fought occassionally on the inside where Budler is getting the better of it. Good round and not the typical feeling out round

 

2-Budler coming forward, looking to land then get away, nice tactic against the taller man, Taguchi with a solid body shot, Budler is loading up on a fair few of his shots and is open to counters, more body work from Taguchi as they beging to trade, a good right hand from Taguchi who has upped his output. Budler had the volume and Taguchi had the better shots

 

3-Budler again getting on the inside with a bit too much ease, big body shot again from Taguchi, nice work with the jab from Budler, this looks like it's only 3 or 4 rounds from becoming an all out phone booth war. Body shots again from the champion, Budler is landing up top sneaking inside and getting to work with Taguchi returning to the belt line, headshots from Taguchi, both landing body shots!

Time to grab another beer!

 

4-And already they have entered that phone booth, hammering away on the inside. Certainly favouring Budler and Taguchi is looking uncomfortably, Budler being smart about this and working whenever's he's close! Taguchi is hurt! A body shot seemed to hurt him! Taguchi is bleeding from the nose! Huge round for Budler! Taguchi trying to answer back but Budler is showing his crafty side!

 

5-Budler staying on his man and is relentless, Taguchi biting down on his gumshield now and just slugging it with Budler on the inside! The champion having more success here than the previous round and has clearly decided that if they are fighting on the inside he needs to fight back, Budler works out of the clinch with body shots, Taguchi with a big shot to the body!

 

6-Taguchi looking for some space this round but is dragged back into a war, big body shot Taguchi, Budler seemed to double over for a second, Budler back to work but he is taking punishment to get his flurry's off, mody body work from Taguchi, Budler is backing off a little more now but he lands a good counter upstairs. Taguchi tagged hard on the bell

 

7-The pace has slowed early on here, Taguchi with a nice combination but Budler fires one back, body shot again from Taguchi, Budler's upper body movement is giving Taguchi fits and his activity just bewildering the Japanese, body shot from Taguchi gets through, and an uppercutt, but Budler totally unfased and goes back to work, Budler straight into Taguchi's face and goes to work, big body shot from Taguchi to end the round

 

My score through 7 is 5-2, could see it wider.

8-Budler is like the ****ing energizer bunny in there, he's incessant and Taguchi is starting to look tired, body shot from Budler, Taguchi holding, "Taguchi" chant from like...5 members of the crowd, Budler unloads again, Taguchi backed on to the ropes and takes further damage to the body

Would go as far as to say Budler is doing a better job on Taguchi than Inoue did.

 

9-Taguchi trying to get some distance and lands a good straight right up top, Budler continues to be too quick on his feet and too active with his hands. The power seems to be with Taguchi, and the size (which they have just put on screen), oh Budler backs off! Maybe hurt! Taguchi hammering him now, and Budler returns firem Budler caught by a flush right up top, IF Budler was hurt he's recovered well, Budler unloading up close again, both land a single body shot.

Budler appears to be bleeding from the nose now too

The best round for Taguchi in some time

 

10-Taguchi on the front foot, and having more moments here, Budler's output seems to have dropped but a couple of good body shots from the challenger, Taguchi with a shot up top and another big body blow, Budler returns to the body, Budler's feet are much slower now than they were 2 or 3 rounds ago but don't think Taguchi has the gas to make him pay, very messy roudn at times with both missing, big attack by Taguchi and Budler retaliates with a big one of his own.

 

11-Pace slowing further, Budler seems to be throwing less and less, Taguchi trying to force the action - knows he probably needs to, big body shot from Taguchi, and another, Budler flailing at the air, body shot from Taguchi, more big body shots from Taguchi who looks to be landing the more eye catching shots still, a hook up top backed up Budler,

Better again from Taguchi, though he really needs to have hoped the judges have given him all the closer rounds
