Warrington selby...to be blunt a feather-fisted flap-fest!

i was hoping Selby could maintain his boxing but warrington looked strong at the weight. Selby needs to move up. The IBF ruling 10lbs after the weigh in, is what killing him (please correct me if this is enforced for this weight/fight? as i know IBF stopped this recently).

I cant help thinking but Warrington is the BEST matched british boxer to date. When Selby was on fire they didnt want it, they waited for Selby to show signs of struggling and they did the homework. All warringtons belts have been by clever matchmaking so his team doing something right. However, i cant see him beating Carl no way, but what will happen is FW will wait until carl is to retire and then make the fight again good matchmaking.

I feel for selby, FW doesn't want him he only signed him to throw him to Warrington and get inside information on his weight etc, where can selby go from here i worry for him, his mums death this loss. I hope he can get back to title contention.

 

Warrington beat the F out of Selby! I also loved the charged domestic support in Leeds!

If the physical fitness side is warringtons only advantage over Carl, and even that looks like it might be taken away from him by Carl's new fitness regime in Manchester, then it doesn't bode well for Warrington if they fight.

Sure, but with Leeds it's a larger minority than at other clubs. Didn't hear of anything like this happening at any of the other stadium fights we've had in Britain over the last few years

 

In reality Frampton probably a bit overrated and Warrington is better than people say. I would favour Frampton but it's not a banker.

 

Maybe Eddie wudda been able to wrangle it that one of the champs WAS available. He seems to have more global influence than warren and deeper pockets. Maybe step aside money to Russell or something to not fight Diaz and wait for Carl in August? Also Hearn has no involvement in Josh Warrington, and no interest in steering him and Carl apart, which warren will likely do now, so he can milk both men's fan bases separately.

Sept no good for outdoors in Ireland. Pretty much has to be July or August when wedder at its best and parents have more free time and money with the brats off school!!!!

 

The fight won't happen anytime soon. Would be bad for Frank. 2 cash cows are better than one. If it happens down the line, I've got Carl. Better all round except may be in the engine dept . But Carl has enough.

I was just about to post something very similar.

Warrington didn't get lucky on Saturday night. He fought a great fight and made Selby fight the wrong fight. Frampton would, of course, go into a fight as the favourite but the Warrington who showed up on Saturday is more than capable of making life very, very difficult for the Belfast man and capable of beating him.
