I don't think anyone will end 3-0 in this tournament

Wladimir Klitschko simply because of the size advantage.

The battle for second place would be far more interesting and the fights between Bowe, Liston and Tyson would throw up some intriguing fights and possibly a classic or two.

    Think so too.

I see Tyson and Bowe beeing in the upper field, Liston and Klitschko in the lower.

For what reason? KO Patterson twice with 30 pounds weight advantage? Never fighting a SHW?
Never fighting a guy with serious power like all his combatants here? ...

It's hard to envisage anyone else but Carnera coming out on top here.

I'm inclined to agree even in this tough crowd.

I'm going to agree with the majority and say Liston goes 3-0.

This is about fighters at their peak.

At his peak Sonny Liston weighed, on average, between 210-215 lbs.

At his peak Wladimir Klitschko weighed anywhere between 240-245 lbs.

    Sonny Liston was 6' 1", Wladimir Klitschko 6' 6".

In stark contrast to the early - mid part of his career, Wladimir at his peak wasn't a knock-out victim waiting to happen but was a well drilled machine, happy to stay behind a powerful jab and dominate fighters from that position. He got tagged by bigger men than Liston - at his peak and when fighting out of the style he became famous for - and it didn't affect him. Liston, on the other hand, never fought anyone with the same ability and attributes as Wladimir Klitschko and never fought anyone weighing heavier than 228 lbs and this was in his last ever fight. At his peak, this comes down to 216 lbs.

It is, in my opinion, inconceivable that a peak Liston troubles a peak Wladimir never mind even beating him. The size is simply too big.

I don’t think Bowe could win two great fights in a row. He was a tough proposition for anyone on his best night though.

I know that Tyson in all his pomp beat the best available fighters in a row. For about 8 fights he was more reliable than anyone else here to duplicate his best performance.

Klitschko was hard to beat. But I don’t think he had anything Tyson had not seen.

Liston will beat the first guy he fights in any order but he will lose the next one, I’m convinced of that.

So mike Tyson. He wins this.

@Mr. Duran: Forget about explaining here, he´s the biggest Liston fapper on the whole BF24. Remember him starting a thread about "prime" Liston beating Ali :copas: He´s in Listons pants all night long.

You are absolutely correct here. Every man, beside Sonny Liston, fought big strong men here. The avarage men he beat was nearly 20 pounds lighter than him. There is a single fighter they can come up with, who had any similarities to modern fighters: The great great Cleveland Williams....
