Totally agree on this one, I don't mind clinching as a method of survival when hurt but Klitschko style clinching as a "tactic" is disgusting.
15 round championship fights. Weigh-ins take place as part of the prefight introductions. If you miss weight, you lose your entire purse.
13th round to settle draws with no tied scoring allowed...No draw, no 13th round. That's real big drama show.
No boxing in Oakland, no Biased judges or referees. Ban Toney Weeks. Ban anybody that has worn fishnets in the past two decades. Ban anybody from the sport that consider themselves Son of God. That title is insulting to me.
You have given a couple of examples where a standing 8 count works but there are many more examples where it dose not. This has been discussed debated and argued about for many years before you seemingly younger generation of fans have thought about it. It is generally thought to be safer to do away with it because in most cases it only prolongs the inevitable and subjects a fighter to more punishment that he need take. It also diminishes the chances of the attaching fighter to force a submission. There are a couple of obscure places in the world which have it in local rules. It just makes it look very amateurish with panicked refs jumping in every time some one takes a good shot. It's best left to the amateurs. This is a rule that has been set by knowledgeable boxing people many years ago that will never be changed.
You'll be treading 5/6 oz old school days...lol You'll have a lot of short fights , I can tell you I have a pair of 6 oz gloves from the 70's my uncle's and you get banged up pretty quickly , a lot of blood and bruises with those less padded gloves....
I would make point deductions from clinching mandatory. So after let's say if you initiate 5 clinches in a round you lose a point. Clinching already illegal. Lets make it mandatory to enforce.
I also watch MMA, and let me tell you that some of the boxing judges suuuuck at scoring MMA fights. So, you have a point.
