Neither you or BigDoofus are wrong. AJ did say no to America, but at the same time we know he will soon change his tune if the money is right.
In Hearn's latest IFL interview he says he has spoken to Haymon and now Joshua has to decide whether or not he is prepared to fight Wilder in Vegas.
"We owe it to the UK fans" etc.etc. https://www.boxingnews24.com/2018/0...y-joshua-for-demanding-fight-take-place-in-uk
Don't see what the fuss is about. Deontay Wilder 'offered' Joshua $50mil, Joshua replied saying 'let's roll'. Now it's down to the businessmen to actually put the fight together. There's not much to criticise Joshua or Wilder for at this point, no matter how much you might have against either of them.
"Let's roll" played to his twitter followers. The cynics amongst us predicted his back-pedalling. https://www.boxingnews24.com/2018/0...y-joshua-for-demanding-fight-take-place-in-uk
Pretty sure most of what we have seen is the two sides playing up to the public. There's a lot of posturing that's for sure. I don't remember the last time I was privy to any serious negotiations - that stuff happens behind closed doors. My take on it is that the fight will happen sooner rather than later, which is all I'm really bothered about. I just find it odd that people are managing to use this to slate Joshua who has consistently made big fights. I even don't mind the whole pantomime with Wilder emailing out $50mil offers. It at least looks like he wants the fight.. just try not to take anything we hear too seriously.
Not according to Hearn: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/boxing/...will-turn-37m-fight-deontay-wilder-us-insist/ AJ is scared to go to the U.S. He’s ducking. No two ways about it. You don’t turn down $50M if you want the fight.
neither side is ducking, what is going on is quite transparent and i dont know why people are struggling to understand it
They will fight in November/December. AJ will fight Povetkin, DW will fight Breazeale in the mean time. Neither side is ducking. It’s all pantomime
