Nah, this always happens in big fight negotiations. Both sides accuse the other of ducking. Fans get frustrated and start name-calling like children, etc, etc. Par for the course. The fight will happen. It's too big not to. In the meantime, flame on...
After I read that I read another article with a Q&A and yes, Sky Sports are showing these cards. Well that's the AJ theory regarding DAZN out the window. Errrr so Yeah Joshua and Hearn are bricking it, sign the deal to fight Wilder ffs
Yeah, and he actually emailed (he personally, not his managers) that offer to Eddie Hearn with ridiculous time-limits. So, yeah, Hearn should have taken that offer very very seriously, especially when it comes from a guy who seemingly has some psychological issues, screams "bomb-squad", dresses like a pimp and earned only 2.1 million in his last fight...
why did wilder manager not meet hearn when hearn was in new york? he cancelled twice on him. mind blown? hearn said he is interested in offer of 50 mil (if it is even real). wouldn't it make sense to meet in person and finalize deal?
Isn't Povetkin next? Stalling would be making Povetkin wait to be a year older. ( 39 ) I've been pretty happy with AJ's title defense picks lately.
Yeah he cant demand f all if they bring the money..If he wants the UK it will scupper the fight and he will look a ****
LOL. Hearn is now saying Joshua will turn down $50M because he isn’t wiling to go to the U.S. to fight Wilder. Quack quack. SMFH. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/boxing/...will-turn-37m-fight-deontay-wilder-us-insist/
As a aside, it's two weeks or so since the deal was announced, anyone heard of any US boxers even expressing an interest in signing up? So far it looks like Danny Jacobs is gonna earn a small fortune....
I hope he does stall just so those americans don't get their way. I don't want a fight in las vegas where no-one actually gets a chance to see it because some rich guys and gals decided that they need to look like proper celebrities and pay ridiculous money that no-one else can afford. I'm sorry but I'm not having a showtime produced show with kim kardashian sitting down, I'm not. That's mayweather territory and should be old news. Those americans, especially Al Haymon, need to be shown that it's 'about the fans'. Sports are watched by fans, by normal, ordinary people. Not rich blokes with briefcases and shiny teeth. AJ should have control of this situation, and rightly so. AJ is spot on with this, he wants it in the UK where 90k will watch rather than a few hundred rich people who don't even have a darn interest in the fight and are just there to show off. Enough of that nonsense, host this at wembley for the love of god... I hope AJ says no, takes the criticism if he has to, and gets what he and all of us want. This is Joshua vs Wilder, not Wilder vs Joshua.
joshua brings the fans and the money. wilder will do EXACTLY what joshua tells him to do. you just watch, joshua will get his $50 and the fight will be in the UK, where most of the 50$ has to be generated. Haymon isnt just going to throw away his money for no reason. idiots on here
You're wrong. I remember when Amir Khan signed to Matchroom Boxing he also stated as did Eddie Hearn that he also signed a 3 Fight Deal with Sky Sports. I am 100% Sure Joshua has a Fight Deal for his fights to be aired in the UK ONLY on Sky Sports Box Office aswell. That is why Sky Sports Box Office is listed as one of his sponsers along with Under Armour, Lucozade etc It's also on the clothing he wears when he goes to press confrences...
