I like Johnson here , but see Charles doing better against him than he would against Liston on the other thread.,where I feel he gets stopped.
This would probably be a very lacklustre fight, Charles being the aggressor of course, but I think both would be very good at neutralising each other. It could go either way on the cards depending what style of fighters the judges prefer. I hate to say it because Johnson's one of my favourite fighters of all time, but I can see him being very negative in this fight, at the same time he probably overpower Charles in the clinches, but I'm slightly leaning towards Charles based on aggressiveness and activity.
Johnson would out ...everything charles jack was smarter,stronger ,tougher, bigger( wait for anyone mentioning the height and reach),got much more stamina, hits harder. A much more complete athlete and he was a real hw not a slilled skinny lhw like charles. Johnson would handle charles like a toy in the clinch and would smile to the public.
To be fair by the time Johnson had reached the very peak of his abilities he literally manhandled and toyed with fighters Charles' size. The one anomaly was Hart but it's hard to draw any comparisons between the two stylistically.
