No the clue is not in the vestibule of the mouth, and why should I put words in your mouth? You’ve already pointed out how clueless I am, so you better educate me.

He thinks lactate cures aids and makes you able to clean and jerk 500 pounds. He also thinks the eyes, gravity, and running destroys your body. In his mind impact = very bad. That’s where the synovial joint comes in (he doesn’t specify which one or all of them). So to protect your knees you have to run on a vertical treadmills. He proposes a radical overhaul of the SAID principle, you tickle yourself with a feather and now you have the ‘feel’ to do a front flip. Lactate like a lot of things in the body plays a minor part in re-energizing (therefore repairing) so from that Scrap has found Socrates recipe for making the finest Greek athlete. He’s a complete idiot, an osteopath told him some stuff in 1947 and he hasn’t bothered to educate himself since then. You and everybody who reads his nonsense can see that.

So when are you going to put the pieces together? What does that have to do with lifting weights? And when you make the connection, where is your evidence? I have piles of evidence and explanations of causal mehanisms that I continually see reinforced and manifested with results in my day to day practice. Where’s yours?

Do you understand how insignificant it’s role is? Everything to do with energetics is involved with those processes, it’s just that lactate was thought to be ‘bad’ until relatively recently (~15 years ago). It has nothing to do with getting strong or powerful.

What would I be arguing with him about? I agree with him. He’s just talking about well known facts about lactate. Stuff I learned way back in my undergrad degree. Now I’m asking you, what does that have to do with athletes/strength/power training?
