Hatton's legacy is that his name will be known in 100 years time. The rest is an irrelevance.

Edit; if you're reading this Rick, you got nothing to prove, your name is set in stone.

Undoubtedly one of Britain's best, there are only 4 or 5 I'd place above him that hail from Britain

Did really well considering he blocked shots with his face, to be honest i only got into boxing the last few fights of his career, but his style was **** I know he won a lot of fights but still.

Was a British boxing legend. Huge Support. Fought the two biggest names of the era (Floyd & Pacman). Proved to be genuinely world class in the Kostya win, and subsequent wins.

Also although he had a fan friendly, brawler type style. He had under rated inside skills and was a great body puncher.

Hatton was a world class LWW, by the time he moved up to WW he faced two fighters who could be considered as top ten P4P of all time. By this time though his lifestyle had caught up with him and he wasnt able to give the performance he could have especially against Pac. Mayweather outclassed him but the ref was poor IMO in that fight.

So IMO he was world class LWW but didnt show that as much at WW. He was short of elite however.

Destruction and Delboy have nailed this. World Class fighter. A tuff fight for anyone in his prime. The Kosta win is a good as anything and he has decent wins over Paulie, Urango etc

Wasted a few too many fights on the WBU but a top draw fighter at his best

Of course he was world class. He was only beat by the two best fighters of his generation. Both of who were in their primes.

He only barely got past one of Ireland's most famous alcoholic chain smoking junkies....

And he WAS NOT a great body puncher.
Want to see great body punching...see Barry mcGuigan....jw HE was a "great body puncher", but not Ricky Hatton, sorry.

Pound for pound, he won some big fights, and lost some, but his losses were to the best of his generation mostly, and there is no shame in losing to them.
