You're missing the point entirely.

Everytime someone tries to explain that Wilder's situation is self-inflicted, someone throws the 'Joshua is unknown in the US too', as though that is somehow relevant.

Wilder hasn't created a profile. He's a nobody, relatively speaking compared to Joshua on a global scale/Past US HW champ's, because in 41 fights, he's had one which caused fight fans some excitement.

The point is simple.

If Wilder didn't exist, Joshua would still have the same profile.
If Joshua didn't exist, Wilder would become even more irrelevant.


"no one here cares anymore" is probably a result of having a 41 fight HW champ not providing entertainment.

no, no one here cares anymore started when lewis beat holyfield. i am not trying to prop up wilder as anything. i am saying both are more known is this country for this negotiation, more than anything either have done in the ring. btw, joshua has a pretty empty cupboard as far as opponents himself. joshua not existing would have no bearing on wilder here, as wilder is no more relevant than ever.

i have stated for a fair fight, it needs to be held in a neutral country. with neutral judges and refs. i could give a damn less where they hold it, in my opinion both guys are shams.

 

Wilder really needs to be careful here.

Joshua holds all the cards to this fight, and people are entirely correct when they say his nice guy persona is a fraud. I wouldn't be surprised to see Joshua say 'F**k Wilder', and send Fury over there to school him.....a fight where Wilder again earns pittance in comparison.

Fury returns to the UK as WBC, Joshua arranges the fight at Wembley, both walk away with £30,000,000+ whilst Wilder becomes consigned to the dustbin of Boxing history.

 

Now the 'neutral country' argument pops out.....
Funny how this always occurs when the US fighter is the B side.
