Hearn is laughing all the way to the bank. Publishing this hurts Broner far more than Hearn. It gets more talk ongoing around the new platform. It alerts alternative options, after all, there's lots of fighters that will see those numbers and fancy the work.

Broner's one more boxer at the end of the day. There's always another one coming up who is eager to take his place. The smart move is not to alienate potential employers along the way as there's no guarantee that 12 months from now Broner may want to rethink his options.

And he did it because what, roc offered 5 milions more over 5 years (assuming Hearn wouldve given him the same numbers for the years to follow too) and he’d have to figh more than once a year?

I’m really starting to get sick of this pirma dona attitude some of those twats have. “If the money is right...”, “I’m the draw, I’m the A side” etc.

There’s such a massive difference between the supposed “elite” and other boxers. Latest but by far not the only example, Vanes... wanted to fight, trained his ass off waiting for a shot, as soon as he was offered one, jumped in the ring with the most dangerous man he possibly could around his weight.
Think he asked what money he’ll get for it?
There are many guys like him just willing/waiting to fight just about anyone and then there are the likes of Broner/Stevenson/Wilder etc, taking advantage of the situation, not giving a single **** about anything but their pocket. Not saying it isnt smart. It’s just not manly and boxing is a mans sport.

 

American fans still tune in for his fights, he had the highest ratings on Showtime last year I think. Fact is he might be barely world class but there's a part of the US fan base that likes him for his crazy personality. He'll get arrested or say something really moronic and we'll call him out for being an idiot but his fan base love that, remember we're talking about a country which voted Trump for president, ignorant people relate to ignorant people.
